Hello friends, good day! I have been waiting for the last few days for someone to open up appreciation threads for all top 10 contestants. As a matter of fact I asked some members to do so. So far only one member accepted my request. If you can spare some time please do so as soon as possible. Lets make this forum interesting and active.
I'm making this thread for a real gem found in Kolkata auditions. She has a very silky & soft voice and has been training Indian Shastriya sangeet for some time. Her name is Sohini Mishra. She is 23 year old and she is from Cuttack Orissa, M.Sc Biotech student. Here is what i have found on the net.
About SOHINI MISHRA
She is a student of MSc Biotech. Playback singer in Oriya film industry. She likes teasing people. She says she has an emotional, childish nature. Her family consists of her parents. Dad is an asst headmaster and both parents are singers (they are radio and TV artists). She is the youngest in her extended family, so she is quite pampered. Started singing from the age of 5, learning classical since she was 8 years old. Parents are supportive, but her dad says that studying comes first. She is not great with studies, but her dad is mostly content. She is also a painter and likes gardening. Fave actor: Hrithik Roshan. Fave film: Koi Mil Gaya, she loves the alien character, Jadoo. Fave judge: Anu ji coz he is straightforward, and correct in what he says. Idol: Abdul Kalam, coz he's simple, was a scientist, and is sincere. Her idol is also her Father because he is a very good problem solver. She likes pet guinea pigs, but her father didnt let her keep one.
