Let us take a trip down memory lane, in between the airing of episodes😊

For me, these two decades produced the best music of hindi film music😊

Am posting a few of my favourites among the hundreds i love.

Please post the songs you are fond of from these decades and let us enjoy some good music😊

Shola jo Bhadke

Ajeeb dastan hai yeh

Abhi na jao chodkar

Chup chup khade ho

Babuji dheere chalna

Thanks sami😊

Love Noorjehan too. Geeta dutt s songs carry so much pathos, i find it difficult to listen to more than one song of hers, at a time😊Suraiya is an all time favourite too. so is shamshad and mubarak begum😊

Among the thousand of her songs i love, this is the one which moves me the most.

Whether it is the lyrics, or the subdued music or her voice, or the plain apathy the beaucracy and the political class have towards the soldiers of the indian army, this song brings tears .

This song and the one i am posting of Mubarak begum , make your hair stand on end, in a good way😊 what singers, what lyrics and compositions, superb.

These are the kinds of songs where the vocals stand out , still the music is unforgettable👏

Haunting voice.

Love this song very much, Hadn't listened it for a very long time. Thanks for making me savour it again. In fact it is one of the most difficult songs to sing and rarely any singer/wannabe singers of the present generation have attempted to sing it. It's a real challenge.

My Late father liked old classical hindi songs very much, here is one of his favourites which brings back his memories. Here's to my Appayya (Kannada version of Daddy)
