Character Analysis : Talli

Hi Friends,..😳

I thought to put up a thread where we can do some character analysis of some significant characters from the show Gulaal..

Hope u all will be interested.. please do tell ur opinion

The character of Talli holds a considerable significance in the whole Gulsar relationship and the entire story.

Starting from the very beginning the role of Thalli has been introduced as an important link to the Gulsar relationship. Unfortunately the interferance of Thalli had affected Gulsar, to a certain extent, though it worked during the pre leap.There is a major contrast in the character of Talli as a kid and as a grown up.

Right from her childhood she had to face the cruel facades of the destiny, but at the same time she was fortunate enough to receive all the love and affection of a mother through Sudha and the life support of a friend through Gulaal.

No doubt she has always been an emotional support for Gulaal and Kesar at times, and thus she has played an inevitable part in the whole of their journey. But again the fate was not so in favor with her happiness, she was destined to live in a false heaven of love and a proposed marriage which were nothing but just a mirage. But at the time when she realise the fact, she goes back of being her old self, intelligent enough to knock sense on others and make them sort out their mistakes. The maturity she has shown at that particular point of time is appreciable. And finally she got the love of her life Kunal..

These lines reminds me of Talli and her love for Kesar.

Oh ho jispe hum mar mite usko pata bhi nahin

Kya gila hum karein vo bewafa bhi nahin

Humne jo sun liya usne kaha bhi nahin.

Alanta 🤗...Loved the way u put up the good qualities of talli...leaving us to speak about her not so good qualities 😉

Me just love those lines from DTPH song 😳

Roshni🤗..Take a grand salute first..OMG you wrote so beautifully about our Talli darling .😆..Geeshu will definitely give you a chumma for this.😛

But honestly if we see That Talli was really a victim of being fed false dreams and instead of encouraging her to become independent,To become a woman of substance.Gulaal actually took her under her wings and started making her believe that she will get married to Kesar.Honestly..For me Talli was never in love with Kesar...Coz love happens gradually but she was force fed to love him ...

She behaved pretty maturely most of the times only after She found out whom Kesar loves.Usse pehle her dumbness made me want to kill her..But can we really blame her for her dreamland..Partly yes partly no...Yes because her idiotic thoughts without understanding logic were unbearable..Partly no coz she was only living the false hopes given by her mentor ...

So IMO Talli was indeed a victim...

Roshni sab se pehle tujhe toh medal milna chahiye for writing such a beautiful piece on Talli...mere paas nahi hai so isis se kaam chala le👏😆but seriously I loved what you wrote about her.You know what I could tolerate her until upto the point of the shaadi fiasco because I had this hope that she would be relegated to the background once the main love story starts...well...that never happened and I think that along with the CVs efforts to make her some kind of a tyaag ki murti made it impossible for me to sympathise with her.I actually loved her bonding with Gulaal in the initial episodes after the leap when Kesar was in his "I hate Gulaal" phase.She was there when Gulaal needed her and she did understand her pain and loneliness but as Kesar himself said "zyaada meetha bhi zeher ban jaata hai"...the CVs made her character the most hated one by putting her in every single scene even where she was not needed.

Piu...I loved what you wrote and I do agree with you.If it hadn't been for Gulaal maybe Talli would have considered Kesar to be only her best friend and nothing more which she did eventually towards the end of the show.She was actually mature when she did not make those lovey dovey eyes towards Kesar.

Aditi😆ab main kya bolun your write up was super funny especially the para about her infamous tandav.I hope you are feeling better now after getting out all of your frustration😛I think she is the only positive character who is hated universally na...ooops sorry Geeshu but she did drive us all up the wall at times na.

As Roshni had said earlier she had always been a good friend to both Gulaal and Kesar...if only th creatives had used her character more judiciously instead of inserting her in every single scene I could have maybe got behind her character

Roshni who you are kidding yaar,Talli aur bechari,ho hi nahi sakta,she was this complete spolit brat who actually lost all her wisdom as she grew older,Do you remember her rejoicing with claps when Gulaal made up with Kesu after beating him black and blue(poor kesu) contrast this with the jealous look she gives to that hanshake between GK when Gulaal again made up with rootha hua Kesu after accusing him of buri niyat,paap ki bhavna,chipe irade and what not...Talli can never be termed bechaari

When she walked into Sudha's life her buddhi became brasht as well,achi khasi ghar chod ke ja rahee thi bechari JK se chutkara pa rahi thi but nahi Talli had to walk in and spoil it for her aur toh aur Kesu ko uske aate hi ghar chodna pada panvati kahi ki😡

And jab yeah kam akkal badi hui toh akkal ko bachpan main hi chod aayee,jab dekho Kesu ke aage makkhi ki tarah bin binana,aur you know what was that eureka moment when she suddenly got blessed with a divine tube light and give gyaan to Kesu,I wanted to go in the tV set and murder her😡😡

And itna kam tha joh hame woh tandav dekhna pada,I am sure shivji shivling chod ke indra ki sabha mein thodi der ke liye mukti pane chale gaye hoge tabhi toh itna solid tandav karne ke baad usse Kunnu jaisa var ka vardaan diya,God actually wanted her to understand jab koi bina akkal ka banda continually bolte jata hai toh samne wale ko kaisa mehsoos hota hoga upar se woh toh shayar bhi nikala,Talli rani ne jhat se Gulaal ke ghungat mein apne aap ko chupaya aur shaanti ka aawahan kiya...ab iss Talli ne toh pure show ka beda gark kar diya badi hoke,kaash woh hamesha choti hi rehti...😕
