Savita is behaving like this because of the venom that was put into her by Manju's Mother to break up the family. Archana is not like Savita. She is concerned for Purvi because Arjun was not honest at the beginning and any mother would be worried when one man showed interest in two sisters. As the others say, Archana concerns are other peoples' happiness and not her own. She wants Arjun to be the right man for her daughter...had he not been engaged to Ovi and proposed to Purvi, Archana would have no problem with the relationship.

I see more of a repeat scenario with Purvi and Arjun, like Archana and Manav. Manav was also put to the test to get a home on his own and make a life for him and archana. They were quite happy in the chawl and now it seems that Purvi and Arjun are the next generation of the 'pavitra rishta'...
