Hello friends.. The show that is so close to our hearts is wrapping up and since we have just two more epis of Navya I thought of posting my journey with Navya.. the post can be a bit long so please bear with me..
I still remember I was sitting in my hostel common room with many of my fellow hostel mates watching TV at 10pm on 4th April 2011. the day was a normal one i always went to the common room around that time because that use to be my time off from studies and all other works.. everybody use to watch colors during that time n though I was not much into watching TV i use to sit and watch whatever the others watched.. But that particular night something different happened one of my fellow mates tuned into SP during the break in colors n there was this scene where The hero of the "New Show" Navya (I dint know his name then) had just saved the girl 4m the Goons and then he just turned and said "Aap thik ho na"---the girl was under a trance she wasnt listening she was all engrossed, lost in him.. and honestly so was I...it was not a love at first sight 4 Navya alone but also for me.. Navya said "aur yeh tha meri aam zindagi ka woh khass pal jab sab kuch badal gaya ab na main aam rahi aur na meri yeh zindagi" touchy line and mesmerising--- its till date my favourite 4m the show... so much so that the gal wid the remote 4got to change the channel n we watched Navya instead of the usually watched show.. the show was so promising that it turned me into a TV or rather a Navya freak.. I who rarely visited the Tv room throughout the day use to go sit there all day during the weekends to catch up the entire week's repeat no matter how many times i had already watched the epi earlier.. Our Common room use to be houseful at 10pm those days.. so much so that we had to go there well before in time to book a proper seat 4 ourselves.. in short the show was an Instant HIT!! the best show ever on SP.. all went well 4 the first few months every viewer was glued to Navya But then something happened I dont know what!!! but to say it in the B's way shayad kisiki buri Nazar lag gayi!! " Vivek sir who had sketched out the wonderful story left the show n from there on started the show's downfall.. whoever succeeded him couldnt understand the soul of the show.. the PH appointed a writer who had earlier assisted writing for saas bahu shows.. hence she turned out to be a sadist and gave us all the depressing tracks.. the show which attracted viewers for its positivity reality freshness and above all for having a connect with the audience was being ruined by a negative depressive track nonetheless i still stuck to the show only hoping that the show will turn better.. but by then the harm was done couple of months of disappointment to the viewers n our houseful common room was no longer houseful.. nonetheless after the depression was over and we were again heading towards a rise Our AnYa were getting married audience were again watching the show came another BLOW and this time it was not from the writer.. it was from the channel.. suddenly they decided to axe the show... i was all taken aback.. I couldn't and dint want the show to end so abruptly.. I knew the show was just in for a rise and had loads of potential.. i wanted to save the show at any cost.. I wasnt a member of IF and dint have twitter a/c either back then.. but i joined IF and also Twitter back in january just to save navya.. i did it all just out of my love for the show.. we all spend sleepless nights and at last our efforts paid and we got out show back but at what cost?? a show which deserved a Prime Time slot was shifted to a weird slot of 6pm... TRPs were affected as the show wasnt promoted and also coz many of the viewers couldn't see it at 6 as most people in India are busy at that time.. Nonetheless we got a beautiful track--- Kholi 420 track n trust me I thank Anantika 4 the track as it was one of the best in Navya.. but then the track was scrapped abruptly and we went downhill again.. the show which already had so many factors acting against it now had a blood boiling saas bahu track which helped in sinking the show further and i guess that track did prove to be the final nail in the coffin... I like a loyal and optimistic viewer had watched every epi in Navya hoping for a rise everyday but i guess before the show could turn in for a rise it always has to suffer due to the downs.. it suffered last time 4 the office track but somehow luck favoured us and we saved it... its suffering this time for the saas bahu track which reduced viewership to the minimum but this time we aren't lucky and weren't able to savenavya.. and trust me it hurts.. hurts a lot...
There were or rather still remains so many things that we could have seen in Navya.. so many untouched areas.. so many possibilities but alas none but us the loyal viewers realize it.. If Navya ended back in January the ending would have been abrupt but my question is even with the extention and Navya ending now is the wrap up logical?? was it this that we wanted at the end?? A love stories ending on a note where the wicked are ashamed of their doings and the good is rewarded??? I so wish the ending was as good as the beginning.. the last two epis are still left and i am hoping that we do get a good wrap up..
Having said so much and mostly having ranted bout the disappointments i would like to add that i owe a lot to this show it gave me beautiful memories.. all Anya scenes are something i will cherish throughout and above all gave me wonderful friends.. I wish the show went on and on.. I wish I could rant and rave about It forever.. I wish I could post such long posts and irritate you guys forever i wish saying good bye to the show wasn't this difficult.. i wish coming to terms with the fact that there wont be any Navya from the next week dint hurt so much.. i wish so many things... *sigh*
Lastly I have a "thank you list" I want to thank all the forum members and all my twitter buddies for being such sweethearts and jhelofying me.. thank you so much.. but yes i guess i cant sign off without thanking team Navya for making it a beautiful experience for me.. Also a big thank you to MY SHERWA and HIS JHALLI both of you just rock.. I dint quite believe in fairy tales but Anant and Navya made me believe in them.. I believe once in a while life does give us an opportunity to witness fairy tales and Navya was a fairy tale for me and i am sure for many of us..
PS: It has been a wavy journey for me nonetheless a beautiful one with beautiful people around.. THANK YOU NAVYA..
