Fulfilling a COMMITMENT: Does it really exist?!

😉😆 We all hear about actors and actresses being professional in Bollywood and fulfilling their commitments, blah blah blah. That is fine and dandy. But, even in a average person's life, if your job doesn't go well, you can walk out anytime because it is "at-will." Either party can terminate the working relationship. But in films, that is really risky. Because if an actor or director gets a better offer one day and says, "I got a better offer from Yash Raj Mr. Santoshi. You cannot pay me like Yashji does and it is the role of a lifetime." Noone says no to Yash Chopra, right? Raj Santoshi is a big director, but doesn't mean the actor will have any obligation to work with him. FULFILLING a COMMITMENT, does it exist in Bollywood? Please share your thoughts. 😊

it depends on celebrities...some are extremely professional and fulfill their commitments while others just make excuses and opt out of it..

but mostly i think they have to...coz they do sign a contract and have to act as per it.

We have seen its usually easy to walk out before the filming starts. Otherwise there are film bodies to implement the rules as we saw in DP's case recently. Once the filming has started actors have few options if they get a better offer-reject that lucrative offer, ask either of the producer to adjust dates, play games with either one producer.
