This is a small OS I just wrote out of boredom. Mind you, this is not like my usual stuff, funny/sweet and full of comedy, instead this one's quite sad. Let me know if you liked it :)
She sat on the front steps of the porch of her house, staring blankly at the stars, too depressed and broken to even complain to her parents, twinkling away in the form of stars in the night time sky. She felt tears prickling her eyes, filling the negligible space in them before streaming down her cheeks but her gaze did not vary. She let them fall, not bothering to wipe them, letting her hurt and frustration flow freely from her eyes as the thoughts in her head whirled in circles.
She had thought he had changed... Thought that after the kidnapping incident, he would truely start believing her. Trust her. Figure out that she had been telling the truth all along.
Instead once again, he had doubted her. Wronged her. He had taken the word of his monstrous brother-in-law over hers.
True, Faith had never been on her side. And all evidence somehow managed to arouse suspicions about her. She now regretted not sharing the entire truth with anyone in the house. She should have...
But that didn't matter. The thing that mattered the most was that he didn't love her. Because if he did, he would have trusted her. Not his brother-in-law, who had denounced that Khushi had an equal hand in his kidnapping and was only a gold digger who wanted Arnav's money and nothing else...
He had thrown Shyam in jail and turned her out of his house so she had come back to her parents but this wasn't as unbearable as knowing that he never loved her.
And she hated the fact that despite everything he did, she still loved him. She knew she could never solve his problems but she was with him when he needed her but all that had no meaning for him. He had told her brutally that he had been playing all along, he never loved her. All he ever said to her were lies and nothing more.
His voice from the phone call which seemed like a life time ago, echoed in her ears once again "Khushi, I Love You!" sending stabbing pains through her already battered and bruised heart and she wrapped her arms around her legs, hugging herself as she literally felt like she would fall apart in pieces if she didn't hold herself together.
Of all the lies he had told her, this 'I Love You' one caused her the most unbearable kind of pain but still this lie of his was her favourite...
