If someone gets kidnapped, you don't just find about the kidnapping, the kidnapper and the victim in just a week. It takes time to root the evil out when you don't have the money, the position or the luxury of PI.
So the CVs showed very practical scenes when Khushi went to report of the kidnapping but returned for the sake of keeping the news from the media and went against her idea of hiring a personal investigator cause it was too much for her (considering she had to take a 'loan' from Arnav of 300 ruppees cause she didn't have them)
After that when she turns to mami. That too was very realistic.
Then we saw Khushi going through her memories and looking for the tape. That is another valid and realistic thing to do. Though these scenes slowed down the drama for many of the viewers but these were vital scenes. The CVs built the whole kidnapping sequences with uniformity and 95% logic. Plus, who cares about old airport footage, so less security on the place.
Then the rest, going after the tattooed guy, the food bill, that too was very important because it would have been quite cliche for her to just suddenly get everything ready for her on a plate and not for her to use her brain.
Then the reunion was awesome. I do have some problems digested the whole hut-scene, that I can say was to increase the TRPs when they began to stretch the scene. And that stretching can the moment Khushi went to change her clothes. I mean as much as I love Arshi, this was very non-Arnav-ic to forget the situation as get carried away.
Then came the heart-breaking reunion. This, I can happily say is total ASR style. He might hurt her to save her, but he won't let her get hurt while she tries to save him! I am glad to say, CVs nailed his character in that scene. So to people who thought 'WHT, hes trying to bed her in one scene and hitting her in the next' thats my reply.
I have to say that Sanaya stole the show. She was just brilliant. Again people think that 'Naam tu Khushi hai par har waqt roti rehti hai'.
When the person vanishes and you come to know that he's in mortal danger. Whatever happens between them, its still a love-hate relation. She still loves him.
Plus the post reunion when Arnav gets kidnapped and then again she begins to cry. I emphasize she is alone in this, no matter how much mami ji helps her. And I think that she feels somewhat responsible that he's in trouble because of her. I mean he did surrender himself for the sake of letting her get away unharmed. So in the scenes, if you read between the lines, you can see her guilt, and her helplessness. And there helplessness cripples you. And it breaks you worse then fear.
And then you turn to someone who can help you. I'll say hats off to the CVs. I've never seen a more practical kidnapping in an Indian daily soap.
In today's episode many thought it was boring or filled with old scenes. To them, I say, among the people who watch this show, about half of them spend time like us on social networking site. I mean, we know whats gonna happen or what turn the story is going to take because we've already read about them on the internet. So when we watch it, we feel like 'WE KNOW THIS! Why are they showing it again'. But we forget that there is another half who only watch the show on TVs and don't know about the course of the story. The twists and turns are new for them. So these small scenes matter to them. For example, I have almost all the major IPKKND fan pages liked on facebook so I understand the kidnapping and why Shyam did it because he's after the money. But my aunt, she watches it on TV and didn't totally grasp the whole kidnapping until the saw today's (12th June's) episode.
Plus, we have to realize that the actors have a life of there own. Though I'm saddened if I don't have more Barun or Diljeet's scene but they have a life too outside of Arnav or Anjali. I mean they'rs not really Arnav or Anjali. They are real people!
I've seen people complaining that 'we want more Arshi scenes'. I mean how the heck are you supposed to get more Arshi scenes when one is kidnapped and the other is on a wild goose chase. Be practical people.
Though what I say might be different from what people feel about the course of the story now adays, but the way its moving, it makes me proud that I am a fan of IPKKND.
So on a final note, I say to the CVs.
