With all the negative posting on Arnav's dream, I thought I'd share my two cents.

Lets take Khushi's dream first. When I saw it, I was disappointed to say the least. It was pheeka! Totally bina namak shakkar ka. And the song choice was totally weird! But then in the context of the events that happened it starts making sense. Khushi's dreams are from her unconscious. She has just heard Arnav say the three words that she thought he would NEVER say - especially not in light of recent events. When he'd thought she was hurt, he didnt say it. When he thought she was going to be another man's wife, he still didnt say it. Yet now, why now? The dream then puts ASR in her room. He is ASR - not Arnav, notice the gelled hair and the stiff postures. She is in red, his favourite color. And then he gives her a pearl necklace - as if to say, I will mend this broken string (rishtey ki dor) and give it to you. And then he chases her around the pool! NOT ASR not Arnav - neither would do it. Nor would he say I love you. So then, he hands her a 'message in a bottle' - a universal signal for 'help me, I am in need of rescue.' Her brain has been processing the words so far, and all of a sudden it kicks into gear! She starts her search for him. She KNOWS he is in trouble. Her subconscious gives her the message correctly.

So in that context, the dream worked! Clever CVs. Take a bow.

On to Arnav's second dream (yes, its dream number two!)

He is in white and so is she for the most part. Their costumes are very telling. So far, the floppy hairstyle has been Arnav's, and in the dream, his hairstyle is off his forehead - though not gelled. He looks more ASR than Arnav! So does his brain kick into gear - finally? (dude, why didnt you offer the kidnappers more money to let you go, lol). Khushi on the other hand is dressed far more sexily than ever before. I mean the bare midriff? ASR the man is providing that image. Of course, the fact that his dream takes place where he is being kept left me scratching my head. Why? But she comes in and smiles, and even that place is heaven to him... Makes sense... I think.

Throughout the song, it is evident that her reproachful eyes haunted him every time he hurt her and she walked away looking over her shoulder at him, and yet she has come back to him, time and again. Holding him, smiling with love, and showing him what he means to her. And finally he accepts it. This is his acceptance. Her walking away at the end - his own fears that she might walk away from him forever, and he will end up in a prison of his own making. Darkness all around, and him all alone.

Makes sense? In the context - absolutely.
