Part 28

As she saw him coming closer...she shut her eyes tightly...

"why did you close your eyes sweetheart??...if I am not wrong you have seen me like this before..." assertively viewing at her edgy features...

Though overwrought she tried to intrepidly open her eyes "you think you can do what you want??"

She was apprehensive...alarmed at his sudden action, tried to get some courage to face him...but the ruffian was driving her up to the wall...he was on the verge of getting in the bath tub... '..."before you get in the tub..."

"Who is getting in the tub??" he said while dusting off his shirt...

Chandni was shocked to see him dusting his shirt in the air "what are you doing??"

"are you blind??? cant you see I have to dust off my shirt..."

"dust off!!!!...here in my bathroom??? ." she reacted angrily...

"you know why I have come here sweetheart"tranquilly regarded her black hair falling on her fair forehead...

Chandni recollected his words

"now you are getting on my nerves Veer...just...just stop your nonsense"

"enough Chandni...now you wait and see the result of this"

Veer grinned...while her fair color turned all crimson...

"who wants to have bath with you..." he glanced at his shirt...

"and tell me one thing...don't you clean your windows???..." he started wearing his shirt "look at my white shirt"

Chandni was clueless as to what he was up to... he didn't wanted to have bath with her and she was all nervous thinking he would jump in the bath tub...

she was shocked and surprised at the same time...he was asking her to clean the windows...she didn't knew what to say...she almost lost her head...she was still thinking when he bend down and looked at her...

"i think that was enough to show you the result of your rudeness...and remember, next time I won't wait to pull you out of the tub and..." he stopped and came closer to her face...

"And" she asked all panicky...

"leave..." he gazed at her

"leave" her heart skipped a beat...

he whispered " a passionate kiss on your pink lips..." he winked at her and left... while she gazed at him until he vanished from her bathroom...

Chandni was still thinking about what he did in last few minutes...she wanted to cry and smile at the same time... what should she assume about him...every second she was dreaming about him...and now he had left with those words that were echoing in her mind...she had to do something to stay away from him...it was like hell in a handbasket...he was dangerous...

Manohar was laughing while Kaka was all furious over him " Manohar...don't laugh so much that I must make my decision to throw you out tonight..."

but Manohar did not stop laughing... "oh my God...the crown broke..." Pratima saw him laughing and started giving broad smiled...though she was unaware of the topic...

"Kaka '...you...you must tell this to Veer...please...we should know if he had relation with any girl before his birthday...when we all knew he was with us..."

Kaka drank another glass of water to calm down his anger "what rubbish Manohar...this is true...it happened just at 12 midnight..."

Manohar bursted out laughing "please...please Kaka...don't otherwise...i...i won't be able to breathe..." he laughed again... his laughter was heard till outside the road...

Pratima heard the knock at the gate... "Veer Saab"

Veer entered and saw Manohar literally on the floor laughing loudly...and Kaka sitting on the couch with his hand on his head...

"Kaka...Manohar...what's going on??"

Kaka was happy to see Veer... "i am so proud of you Veer...today you proved that you are equally brilliant and smart as your ancestor's..."

Veer looked at Manohar who was finding difficult to breathe... "has he had some drug or laughing gas???"

"he is ridiculous...leave him...you go and freshen up..." Kaka looked at Veer's shirt "Veer how come this black dust??" Veer looked at his shoulder "I entered a witch's house..." he smiled '..and walked upstairs...

Kaka asked Manohar to stop laughing otherwise Veer will question him again...

Manohar had tears in his eyes "laughing is a good exercise...i will tell this to Veer as well so he can laugh and have a good exercise..."

"you won't tell Veer anything..." Kaka said angrily...

"what will you won't tell me Kaka???" Veer asked while coming down the stairs...

"Chandni...you will fall sick...now come out of the bathroom..." Kamini yelled at her... she never liked her sitting in the bath tub for so long...

"coming Grandma..." she quickly came out of the tub...she changed her clothes, and dried her hair...

After some time...

she was ready to have her coffee...when she felt like vomiting...

Kamini was angry at her "i told you so many times not to sit in the tub for so long, you will catch cold...but you never listen..." she went downstairs to have some medicine...

Chandni wiped her face after vomiting...she was not feeling well... she felt weak... she hated having medicines...

Kaka looked at Veer... "nothing...we were..."

"no Kaka...there is something...it would be good if you tell me the truth, before I do something to get out the truth myself..." Veer was adamant...

Kaka knew that Veer would not listen to anything now... Manohar gave a broad smile "ready to listen to the world biggest joke..."

he laughed again...

"Manohar...with you stop laughing or do you want me to shoot you?" Veer said angrily...

Manohar quietly sat on the couch but he was still giggling...

Kaka looked at Veer who was seriously waiting for an answer... "Veer...when your Father died he put a secret and responsibility on my shoulders... there was a black crown in the box that I always carried with me... your fate was decided even before you were born... if you get a girl with pure heart, mind and soul, you would survive after your twenty first birthday otherwise you would die..."

Veer thought for a moment and remembered just before his birthday he slept with Chandni...

Kaka continued "and this crown broke just at 12 midnight and I am still confused...i think God listened to my prayers...and you are alive"

Manohar laughed "see Veer...that was my reason to laugh...you were with us on the birthday night...i saw you at the club and how is this possible...??"

Veer remembered it was 11:30pm when he brought Chandni in her room... and they had physical relationship before next day...Kaka was right he was with a pure hearted girl who saved him from death...

he went to his room thinking about her... how could he tell this to Chandni...she would never believe him...it means destiny had planned them to meet just before his birthday and Chandni entered his life to save him from all the disasters...

He wouldn't have believed before but he knew that from that day his life started changing...

Chandni had medicine... Kamini was sitting next to her "i tell you so many times not to sit in the tub for so long...you have high fever...i think I must call the doctor..."

"Grandma...i am fine...please...you go and sleep...if I need anything I will call you...you must rest...i will sleep now..."

Kamini smiled and turned off the light...and closed her door...

Chandni wasn't sleeping...she was still thinking about her hooligan when she heard a long beep...

she turned to look at the watch that she had kept in the first drawer of her dressing table... "Veer you are mad..."

It beeped again and again... finally she got up and picked up the watch...suddenly her head started spinning, she hold on the chair and sat for a minute...

Slowly she walked towards her bed and heard the beep again... this time she picked up her phone

Veer heard his phone ringing " my sweetheart."

"what do you want Veer??" she was angry

"you..." he smiled...

"is there any way that you can stop disturbing me???" she said furiously...

Veer looked at the phone and whispered... "i can tell you..."

"what???"

"you can come in my arms and sleep...that way I won't disturb you" he said softly

she was quiet for a minute...it was difficult for her to talk to him...he was charming her with his words...she can never forget what he did with her, he was alcoholic and womanizer...she was annoyed at him... "no never..." she switched off her phone...
