thanks kavitha...best of kishore,rafi,latha,asha...so many are there...i have to scratch my head...kahan se shuru karen...

may be we can start more specfic threads...kishore's best(or fav) sd.burman songs...lata's terrific salilda's songs...rafi's madan mohan gazals or manna's best classical based and so on....we have read a lot of articles on them...i would now like to know members fav songs/compositions/lyrics... 😊

yes u do have a good list of songs there but i find it quite stange he never won a filmfare for either ek haseena thi or rimjhim gire saawan or chingari koi bhadke i feel they are his best three songs

Dada was a Materpiece. No one can ever come close to him - even singers now who try to sing his song get eliminated !!

I love all his songs but 2 come to mind:
1. Koi Humdum na raha, Koi sahara na raha
2. Aaye tum yaad mujhey ganey lagi har dhadkan, khushboo laye pawan, mehka chandan

Kavitaji, thanx for this thread - Dada is my all time favorite!!

some songs of kishore i would like the new contestants to sing are..ithink it will test their abilities...

1."khiza ke phool se aati kabhi bahar nahin..
mere naseeb mein aedost tera pyaar nahin.."

2."mere deewanepan ki bhi sazaa nahin..."

3."koi hota jisko apna,hum apna keh lete yaaron"

4."dil aaj shayar hai gham aaj naghma"

3)Yeh jo mohabbat hai

5)Pyar diwana hota hai
6)Yeh raaten, yeh mausam, nadee ka kinara
7)Jeevan Se Bhari Teri Aankhen
8)Aaa Chal Ke Tujhe Mein
9)Aap Ki Aankhon Mein
10)Neele neele ambar par chaand jab aaye

And many more.
