"Achhoo" , sneezed Yash.
"Yash ji! Why are you being so adamant , please lets go to the doctor." , requested Aarti.
"Aarti Ji , Im fine! Achhoo" , Yash sneezed again.
"Yash ji. Im not going to listen to you. Leave this unnecessary persistence at once please." , Aarti said with a louder voice pulling his arm.
"Aarti ji. I have no strength to drive. The cold is killing me. My head is aching too." , Yash said while sniffing.
Aarti patted on his back and said , "Don't worry Yash ji. I will drive."
Yash drew back an uncertain look. "Don't kid. Its raining cats and dogs outside. I cant allow you to drive in such a rigorous weather. We'll go tomorrow morning."
"Are you sure Yash ji?"
"Yes Aarti ji. Come , lie down now."
Aarti looked uncertain but Yash's resistance forced her to stay calm. She lied next to the coughing Yash but soon got up and ran to the kitchen and came back with a bowl.
"What is this Aarti ji?"
"Honey!"
"What?"
"I mean. This is honey Yash ji. Honey with a pinch of black pepper. Maa's remedy. This would do wonders to you."
"Don't even think about it Aarti ji. Kitchen-remedies don't suit me."
"Arre at least try!" , Aarti forcibly made him drink honey.
"Achhooo" , Yash sneezed his lung out and his coughing escalated.
"Oh no Yash ji! Why isn't it working?" , asked oblivious Aarti.
Yash Made a straight face and said , "I told you. Achhooo!"
"Im so sorry Yash ji. Whom shall I ask! Nobody is at home. Wait. I'll call Vidhi bhabhi."
"No Aarti ji please. They all must be enjoying the wedding now."
"Its ok Yash ji. I'd ask bhabhi not to tell anybody."
Aarti dialed Vidhi's number. Pankaj picked it up.
"Hello Vidhi Bhabhi?"
"Haan Aarti! Vidhi is not here. She is applying mehandi. Everything ok?"
"Yes yes bhaiya! But actually Yash ji has caught cold. I tried home remedies , nothing seems to work."
"Tried brandy?"
"Brandy! Bhaiya?" , asked shocked Aarti.
"Yes Aarti. Give him brandy. We always give him that we he catches cold without season. Nothing works better on him."
"Ok bhaiya." , Aarti said and disconnected the call with uncertainty on her face.
She looked at the coughing Yash and moved to the liquor section of the living room and started searching for the brandy.
"How much shall I pour! I forgot to ask about the quantity. Yea! one big glass would be enough."
Aarti filled one big glass and headed towards her room.
"Yashji!" , Aarti screamed with a smile , "Drink this please. This would make you alright."
"But what is it?" , asked curious Yash.
"No more questions. Just drink it. Im sure you'll be alright."
Yash drank in a single sip and after the last drop got over , he broke the glass.
"Why did you break the glass?" , stunned Aarti asked.
Yash didn't reply to her but kept on staring her with his strong , tempting gaze. He soon burst out in a hearty laugh. He kept on cackling like a small baby and sat down on the floor. Aarti , first stunned and scared soon started finding it amusing. She too couldn't control her laughter and sat down with Yash. He looked at her with a smile but slowly the smile on his face vanished. A gravy look took place on his face. Aarti kept on looking at him silently.
"Yash ji." , she whispered with concern.
Next what she saw was his husband breaking down in tears. The man who was chuckling mindlessly a moment before was now crying his eye's out.
Aarti patted on his back but he removed her hand.
"Don't touch me. I don't like you." , Yash cried.
"What?"
"Yes! You are not Arpita. You are not even a bit like her. Then why do I like you? Why do I smile when you smile? Why do I feel complete when I see you with my daughters? Why ?" , Yash poured out these words as tears kept flowing from his yes.
He ran outside in the rain while Aarti kept on sitting there , still trying to get out of the scene.
Yash sat on the bench , where he envisaged Arpita. She kissed on his forehead and said , "When I left , the rain didn't stop pouring , the seasons didn't stop changing , the time didn't cease . Then why did you put an end to your life , your happiness? Go to her , accept her. Love her! You like her , don't you? Me too." , Arpita smiled and faded away.
Next , he saw Aarti coming out in the rain with an umbrella .
"You have just got fine. I don't want you to catch the cold again." , asserted Aarti.
Yash smiled at her as she grabbed his hand , taking her inside.
"Aarti ji." , Yash said as he grabbed her with her shoulders.
"Ji Yash Ji."
"May I get a hug?" , Yash said making pout and a cute innocent face.
Aarti didn't reply for a minute and soon embraced him tightly. Yash cupped her face and kissed her on her forehead.
