I think people should take a chill pill, relax and take everything in context. The INTENTION is not to disrespect.
That song from Mujhse Dosti Karogi had also enraged quite a few Muslims wiht the line "Yaar rab se pehle hai tu"
My point: Keep the context in mind. The man's in love, and this is is just a poetic expression of his devotion to his lover.
Stop trying to look at everything from a religious context. Let art, cinema, expression BE!

Please stop advising people on what they should and should not do...u have ur perspective I have mine...if they differ ..our views will differ...there is no need to jump on someone who is a having a different view than urs...so please stop preaching...no one was born yesterday over here...definitely not me...

I am not sure...but I think the song has been used with a certain context in the film!
Diana plays a character called Meera, who is shown to be religious minded, typically Indian and orthodox (as per the promo's)...and hence, when they show her letting her hair down and dancing...it is in the background of a religious song, which goes with her character!
There has always been an uproar against songs which popularize / use religious hymns and poems...the earliest one being, 'Hare Rama, Hare Krishna' used in the background of Hippies smoking pot!
Coming to the song, its very catchy and the picturization is great too!

I heard this song today. Don't like this song at all. Infact, find it totally disrespectful for its a bhajan used for God.

And I thought I would be the only one but good to see you agree blue-ice.
