I may not tom-tom it. But I do my bit for peace and harmony," says Bappi Lahiri, referring to his new peace anthem that will be aired for the first time on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs this Thursday.
"It's a song written by Deepa Sneha that I composed in memory of the Mumbai bomb blast victims. It's called 'Unhein salaam hamara salaam'. Alka Yagnik, Shaan and I along with all the finalists on Little Champs have sung this song. The children bring a truly emotional touch to the number," he says.
Meanwhile, Bappi is very happy with his job as a judge on Little Champs. "Children are the reflection of God. And to hear these kids sing so well is a heartwarming experience," he says.
Bappi is also thrilled by his duet with Whitney Houston. "Now only Whitney needs to finalise my tune. Then I'll fly down to LA to record with her. My endeavour is to do something new and exciting all the time," he says.
Bappi is also looking forward to the song he has sung for AR Rahman for Guru. "I've been a fan of Rahman for years now. And to sing a song written by Gulzarsaab was a dream come true," says Bappi.
