Love is blind. It makes you do unimaginable things. But that does not mean that we should forget our moral values and our "tehzeeb" . Manyata as a character, as a person, has always failed to impress me when it comes to this. There was a time when in the beginning of the show, I used to like her childish antics, and maybe even found them a bit cute. But now, she just comes off as a disrespectful wild child who is beyond selfish. Being a girl, I can understand what she must be going through. Her encounter with her ex-lover has provoked all those feelings to come out which she had subsided. But that does not mean that she disgraces her family and blames them for playing politics when they are actually always trying to talk some sense into her. Yes, she is flawed in her own twisted way, but what kind of flaws in any human being justify their misbehaviour and humiliating attitude towards their elders and family? My basic problem with her is not her love for Akash, but her failure to be a good daughter and now a Yuvraani too at every step. I know she will improve eventually because the entire show is about her, but I am talking about the current track of her character.
Before all of you start wondering how the hell I ended up ranting today, let me tell you, this is not a negative post 😛 . Lol. Keep reading to find out. Manyata is clearly still in love with Akash. And I do not have a problem with that. Wait wait, before you all start throwing chappals at me let me continue 😉 . The reason I didn't have a problem with her still being in love with him is because that girl was literally crazy about him and that kind of obsessive love does not vanish in a few days time. Today when she met him, that love was evident in her eyes. I understand that she's an emotional wreck at the moment and she loved Akash so her reaction was natural. But how can she forget her culture and traditions so easily? She has been officially betrothed to someone and yet she was ready to go to her ex-lover. She very casually asked Akash to look into her eyes, to touch her, to feel her right infront of her entire family and her fiance which I found absolutely disgusting. That is not done. And Akash rightly said "besharam" to her. Now we all know what would have happened if Uday had said that to her, but this was her precious Akash, how could she say anything to him 😆 . Her character showed so much growth and improvement over the past few days, but the moment Akash comes into the picture, her chawl upbringing overpowers her. She needs to learn to put her emotions aside and think logically from both the heart and mind. Not just the heart. Only then she can prove herself to be DS's blood. Otherwise, I don't even understand what DS saw in her to make her a Yuvraani. Just feeling compassionate towards the underprivileged does not make her a good person or a Ruler. There are a lot of other things required for it aswell. I mean what was the point of all that training and hard work and effort that DS, Vijay Bhai and Uday put in to turn her into a Rajkumari and then a Yuvraani if she was just going to forget all that in a jiffy because she loves someone? And I cannot sympathise with her until and unless she proves that she is worthy of that sympathy. Just because she lost someone she loved and now he's back does not justify her actions in any way. Where was that love for Akash when he died and she didn't even shed a single tear for him, nor did she show any signs of grief? Where was her love when Akash was missing, and she didn't know he was dead, and yet still she was jealous of Uday talking to another girl? Where was that love when she was happily attending an auction and dancing after the revelation of her so called lover's death? Where was her love for him when she was happily shopping for her wedding? I am sorry, but just because she's a girl and the lead of the show, I cannot sympathise with her or pity her! I would have justified her behaviour and actions and that love coming out of the blue on seeing Akash if she had shown that love even after he was dead. The major flaw in her character is that she uses people. Be it Uday, or even Akash for that matter. She wants to keep both guys available at her beck and call. When she needs Uday, she's with him, and when she needs Akash, she goes to him. And those 2 guys end up hating each other because of her. Sigh.
I actually find Jay to be a better daughter than her. Atleast she has never behaved the way Manyata does. Granted she has misbehaved too at times, but she has never disrespected or humiliated her family like that. No matter how spoilt she is, she never hid guys in her bedroom like Manyata did, she never yelled and screamed like a maniac to get her way like Manyata did. Jay is as crazy about Uday as Manyata is about Akash, but have we ever seen her behave the way Manyata does to get her love? NO! Because she knows what family honour means. Yes, she tried to kill her own sister, but I am talking about the overall difference between both the girls.
Today both Manyata and Uday crossed paths with their past. Akash. Now what I would want to see is that Uday should stop running after Manyata because right now, she clearly doesn't give a damn about him or his threats. We have already seen how Akash/Aryan brilliantly insulted her, so I would love to see Manyata going back to him hoping that he would recognise her and they could walk off to the sunset together, and Akash/Aryan should give her another dose of insults and bring Tara in the picture too. Then Manyata would go running back to Uday and then I would LOVE it if Uday doesn't give two squats about her. This is the only way she can realise his importance. And I think by that time the show would be coming to an end 🤣 . I am fed up of seeing Uday following her around like some lost puppy. Manyata takes him for granted because she knows that no matter what she does. at the end of the day, Uday would always be there with his arms spread open for her 😕
Let's just hope that by the end of this week, Manyata does something sensible and wins our hearts. Because disrespect for elders under any circumstances is unacceptable. And that is actually kind of the only problem I have with her at the moment. I am still positive about ManVeer because I know they are happening. They are the end game. So don't lose hope in them. I know we all are pissed at Manyata at the moment, but her reckless behaviour would one day make her realise what a grave mistake she's making. And let's not forget, Akash/Aryan is negative in the show so Manyata is obviously never going to end up with him. Today she crossed paths with her past, but that road will eventually lead her to her present and future, with Uday 😊
