CHAPTER 5

It was almost 3 pm at night.

Arnav yawned'he was feeling tired'he actually had no work to do'its just to avoid sleeping with khushi he had to lie to her about his work'

He wasnot able to sleep on the sofa, his back was hurting. He was uneasy tossing and turning'

It was his nightmare when the glass fell on the floor while he tried to adjust himself on the sofa and his leg hit on the side table where he had kept the glass.

Khushi: Mummy! She screamed'she looked around'while arnav thought (oh shit)

Khushi: Hubs'are you awake?

Arnav remaind quite for 3-4 secs and then he had to speak up'he acted as if he was sleeping'Sorry khushi'the glass fell down.

Khushi chuckled'and got up came near him and snuggled inside his blanket

Arnav was shocked'he did not expect that from her'

Khushi in a husky voice'hubs now that you have already disturbed me why don't we sleep on the bed? Well I like sleeping here also with you all cozy cozy'

Arnav removed her hands and tried to sit up but he couldnot as the sofa was too soft'he wasnot able to balance and he fell on top of her.

She quickly put her hands around his neck.

Arnav tried to get up once again but his try went in vail'

Khushi: Come on Hubs why are you trying that? Aren't you happy to be in my arms?

Arnav: Khushi I am damn tired'I think we should switch to the bed while trying to put her arms away.

Khushi: Well hubs I think the sofa is more cozy for us to make love.

Arnav: With that word his eyes widened'(tu to gaya arnav)'he turned himself and rolled'He landed on the flood'

Khushi got up'kya kar rahe ho? You could have hurt yourself honey.

Arnav got up and brushed himself with his hands'Stop calling me Hubs and Honey and all those'

Khushi got up and advanced towards him'kyun? Kuch hota hai kya?

Arnav walked back'khushi stop it I said.

Khushi: why will I stop arnav? You are my husband? I have all the right to do this to you..isnt it?

Arnav: Khushi I told you I am just to tired

Khushi stopped'you are tired or you are hiding something from me?

Arnav haulted'

Khushi: Arnav, do you love me?

Arnav remained quiet.

Khushi: Arnav I need answer'

Arnav: Ofcourse I do Khushi.

Khushi smiled'and started walking towards him'so then what is the problem?

Arnav: Nothing khushi'tumhara tabiat thik nahi hai na isiliye

She came and hugged him'but arnav did not hug her back,

Khushi while resting her head on his chest'you know arnav this feeling is very new to me'I don't know why do I have a feeling that I have never done these with you'its strange hai na? I mean you are my husband and our marriage is almost a year old and I am sure we have done everything'but why do I have a very new sensation?

Arnav wanted to say why but he couldnot'he equally want to say that he is not her husband and they have not done anything'and this is actually new for her. But thinking about the consequences he had to keep quiet as the doctor said it she gets a shock he might go to coma'

Khushi looked at arnav with her dreamy eyes and started leaning towards him to kiss him on his lips'arnav couldnot do anything but to hold her waist'

Khushi leaned further. Their lips were inches apart when khushi pulled back sensing his disinterest'she looked at him'

Khushi: I don't think you want this arnav'isn't it?

Arnav looked at khushi but he did not say anything.

Khushi moved back'come and lets sleep now'you said you are tired'she held his hand and both went towards the bed'

Khushi arranged the pillows for them and gather the scattered pillows and the quilt from the sofa and placed it in her side'

Arnav slowly dropped on the bed and adjusted himself on the pillow.

Khushi snuggled on her pillow and push herself toward him'

He became stiff'but he did not move'

Khushi placed her hand on the chest and bid him good night.

Arnav saw a tiny smile on her face'her face which lit up everytime she touches him'he could feel her uncomfort everytime she touches him but she always try to brush of that uneasiness thinking that she is doing those to her husband which is quite natural.

Arnav was really concerned for her now'What if when she regains her conscious and remembers every damn thing she is doing? How will she live with this guilt? Kissing a random man'sleeping beside him for X no of days'and what not'it has just been 24 hours and she is trying to come close to me'what is going to happen in next few days?

What if? No no that is surely not going to happen'how can I allow that? I will definitely not let this happen'Kiss tak to thik hai par'no arnav tum yeh soch bhi kaise sakte ho? I have to think something and stop her coming close to me'

Arnav finally look at her once'and he couldnot stop himself from admiring her beautiful face'

What a minute'he did think she is beautiful? Since when? She is one arrogant'chirpy female who always got into his nerves'immature'and full of attitude.

But today she is definitely looking cute in his knee length night gown'the colour pink making her milky skin more and more appealing..

Arnav shook his head'yeh tum kya soch rahe ho? Tum iske baren meye aisa kaise soch sakte ho?

No Arnav, something is wrong with you'don't behave like a jerk'.

Khsuhi: ummm'abhi tak jag rahe ho? Insomnia hai kya?

Arnav: What?

Khushi opened her eyes'neendh ki bimari golu'her eyes shot open'GOLU?

Arnav was surprised to here his childhood name from her mouth'he felt a little happy'

Arnav excitedly asked'Khushi did you call me golu?

Khushi: blinked her eyes looking straight at him'I think I did'but'

Arnav: That's what you used to call me khushi'he smiled

Khsuhi: Really? She smiled'but she frowned'GOLU? You are not golu at all'.you are quite in shape while tracing her fingers on her tonned hard chest'

Arnav was taken a back with her move'he gulped and that did not go unnoticed by khushi'

Khushi placed a peck on his cheeks while his hand trailed to her waist automatically'her hair was brushing his face'he could smell her sweet frangnance'

Khushi snuggled in his chest and placed a peck. Then held him tightly and slept putting a smile on her face.

Nahi arnav you have stay away from her'you cannot let her to this'

He jerked her hand and moved to the sofa.

Khushi flinched and looked at him

Khushi: Kya hua? Tum waha kyun ja rahe ho phir se?

Arnav: I will sleep here only

Khushi: Par kyu?

Arnav: Because I want to

Khushi: But we have just now decided that we will sleep here on the bed

Arnav: Fine'now I have changed my decision.

Khushi: Fine then I will sleep there with you

Arnav: No khushi don't'if you come here I will leave the house right now

Khushi: WHAT? Why are you talking like a mad person arnav? Big deal?

Arnav: Khushi just get one thing very clear'I.DONT. WANT. TO. SLEEP. WITH YOU.

Khushi: But why ? I am your wife

Arnav: Khushi please'.

Khushi: Aapko batana hi hoga'aap aise kaise behave kar rahe hai?

Arnav: COZ I DON'T LIKE SLEEPING WITH YOU

Khushi was shocked to hear that from him'she moved back until she hit herself on the bed'she sat down looking at the floor'and was lost in thoughts'

She looked at him who was sleeping on the sofa by then unaware that he was still awake cursing himself for behaving like that with her.

She wiped her tears and lied on the bed his word still lingering on her head'unable to understand anything she tried to sleep but she couldnot'
