I actually thought that the Sati's immolation came quickly but @ the right time. I'd rather they didn't invent anymore stuff between Mahadev and Sati on Kailash. As far as I know, I don;t think there much material (in the trad. sources) on their married life, is there?
As for Mahadev's grief. i think they stretched that for as long as they could. I think many were getting impatient! The shakti peethas was actually a tad slow IMO ... but that;s where they could embroider the narrative and they did.
Now they can do a little more embroidery around Parvati's childhood and they are taking advantage of that...but not very well. Repeating the same parents-in-denial routine was not very creative or original! Esp since we had been subject to months and months of that since the beg. of the show!
What they need is conflict (as Vinshu said ) so they are inventing it but in not very interesting ways. The main obstacle in the Shiva-Parvati story is Shiva himself! But how they use that to dramatic effect remains to be seen.It might be too big a challenge. External obstacles in love stories are easy...But when a protagonist himself/herself is the main obstacle, that seems to defeat our TV people/...
What I am really curious about is how they are going to show Parvati's tapas? Will they invent further adventures with asurs? Will they stick her in a cave? What will they do?! Mahadev coming to "test" and "tease" her will give the ample opportunity to invent stuff...and I am actually looking forward to that...😊
