Chapter 10
Aakash: Bhai...woh...oops!!!
As Aakash stood frozen, trying to break out of his embarrassing reverie, he felt a pair of hands mercifully cover his shamed eyes and pulled him out of the room while the door was tugged closed, once again. Those same pair of hands then guided Aakash to the closest vacant space.
Painted, cherry red and lusciously soft, warm lips hungerily met Aakash's, just like an ardent mistress welcoming her long lost lover home. Tongues collided, dancing the unlearned dance of fire, biting, nipping away, sucking seductively, and meeting just to part again.
Stopping the raptureous kiss, just long enough to catch their breathe, she opened her cat-brown eyes to gaze at Aakash, and purred,"Feeling better now?"
Aakash: Thanks Payal,...and now...let me return the favour!!!
************
Arnav deepened his kiss, his hands glided to the delicate pink buds that crowned her breasts, and stroked them skillfully. Pari was drowning in sinful passion whilst the moist heat throbbing at the juncture of her thighs tightened into a knot of almost painful anticipation. Pari moaned in abandoned pleasure.
"You like that?" Releasing a soft laugh of satisfaction. Arnav framed her face with lean brown fingers to hold her still. "I think you will like everything I do."
That did the trick. His over-confident words bailed her out of the depths of fire. She didn't care if he was her husband! She didn't care what caused her to marry him! And most of all, she didn't care how he made her feel!!!
Ignoring the beeping noise in the background, Pari pretended to yawn.
Pari: I don't think so...your kiss just about put me to sleep...I have never had such a dull and unexciting kiss before...
Arnav (smirked and in a husky tone): Really?!!!
Pari (more stubborn and angry): Yeah, really!!!
Arnav simply pointed at the madly beeping heart rate monitor,
chuckled and said: ...REALLY?!!!...
Then Pari focused on the beeping noise which she had ignored earlier.
Pari (thinking): SHIT!!!! Double shit!!!...the bloody heart monitor...how could I forget it????...and that too for the second time...
Pari desparately tried to think of something to say...to come up with any simple explanation for her hearts behaviour but non came, as her mind which was very sluggishly recovering from the impact of the barely restrained passion.
Luckily for Pari, just then, there was a knock at the door and after a couple of moments, Dr Steve strode into the room.
Dr Steve: Hey Pari!!! How are you?
Pari(doing her best to calm herself) : I am fine. Steve? can you do me a favour?
Dr Steve: Yeah sure...what is it?
Pari (in a barely restrained shout): Could you please detach this damn HEART RATE MONITOR!!!!!
Arnav chuckled.
************
After removing the heart rate monitor, and the glucose dripps, Dr Steve examined Pari's wounds on her shoulder and back. Arnav clenched his fist and struggled to reign in his blazing fury. He could see Pari's wounds and he just wanted to go back to Shyam and start punching him all over again!
Pari looked at Arnav's clenched fist. "Did he do this to me?" Pari thought. There was so much going on and she couldn't make heads or tails of anything!!! She had seen Dida and Payal. But Dev was nowhere, maybe he was in the ICU, she thought, trying to pacify herself with that idea.
But then, when did she get married to this guy?...Even if she had been unconscious, it couldn't have been more than a few weeks!!! And Payal? She appeared to be married too!!! When did that happen? All these questions were running endlessly through Pari's mind.
Dr Steve: Pari, your wounds were superficial, and they shouldn't leave any scars if you apply the creams which I will prescribe to you, ok?
Pari: Steve? You know me better than this...so out with it!!!...what has been happening?...and where is Dev?...and where is Pari and Muskaan?
Dr Steve: Pari, what's the last thing you remember?
Pari: I remember Dev stopping his van...since I recall seeing him talking to himself, I presume he had his wireless bluetooth on for his mobile. He looked very excited, whoever he was talking to...so how is he Steve? and how are Khushi and Muskaan?
Dr Steve: And how many days do you think has passed since that incident?
Pari (impatiently): aah...2 weeks...maybe one month...maybe two...who gives a damn?...I asked you where is Dev? and how are Khushi and Muskaan doing?
Dr Steve: Pari, its been 2 years...since that incident...
Pari was shocked as she absorbed that bit of information...and then taking a deep breathe, she asked: So then I must have been in coma for two years, and my family used that as an excuse to marry me off to this guy?...where is Dida?...I want a word with her?...and Dev too...I told him how I felt about Rahul...how dare they go behind my back?...
Dr Steve: You were not in coma Pari...(he waited for Pari to digest that piece of information) ...you had amnesia ...and chose that guy for your husband...from what I am told...
Pari (looking at her wounds and pointing at Arnav): Did he do this to me?
Arnav looked at Pari, shocked that such a thought could even cross her mind. He felt pain burrow its way into his heart.
Dr Steve: He is the one who saved you...the one responsible for it is covered in stitches, bandages, and plaster, he actually looks like a "mummy"...thanks to this man...by the way my belated congratulations on your marriage...
Pari was stunned and in awe of her husband. She felt ashamed of how she had pushed him aside when Rahul had walked in, and he hadn't even lifted a finger at her...
She then looked at Arnav in the eye and said: I am sorry...how I behaved with Rahul...I didn't know I was married...
Arnav (came close to her and held her hands): Its okay...tum theek ho?
Just then Pari had numerous flashbacks of the number of times Arnav had asked her that same question "Tun theek ho?"...she couldn't remember anything else...all else.was still blank...for the time being anyway...
Seeing her blank look, Dr Steve asked: Pari, what hapened?...
Pari: nn...nothing Steve...I just...where is Dev bhai?...and Khushi and Muskaan?...have they gone back to Britain?
Dr Steve: Pari...they all died in that bomb blast...
************
Senior Special Military Officer spoke to his assembled team of militants: Good job guys...however, one small change...the two guards which are still left in their uniform, stationed outside Mr Shyam Jha's room and Pari's room will also have to change into civilian clothes...I have received some vital information and we cannot risk anyone finding out about Pari...or anyone else from her family...so ALL of you shall dress as civilians and keep tabs from a distance...in addition to it,whoever will keep tabs on Mr Jha will have to change places with your mates every 5-8 minutes...thus drawing least attention on any one of you...ok...Its very crucial that Mr Jha must not suspect anything...
Militant Jai: But sir, why all this extra caution?...we have Mr Jha here already and with Mrs Raizada's statement, we can hand him over to the police...
Senior Military Officer: I am afraid its not as simple as that...we will have to let Mr Jha resume his normal lifestyle, and he must not suspect our involvement...
Militant B: but why sir?
Senior: Because I just got an anonymous tip...before our sources believed that he may have connections with the drug lords...but now...after that tip...it seems he is also partner to the mastermind behind the bombings that are taking place nationally and at an international level as well...we have to wait...for the time being just keep tabs on him...and be invisible...This has become a Rad Tag Mission...disperse...
