Scene486 Karan, the joker

Arjun sits outside waiting to be allowed inside ICU.

Yashodhara comes with breakfast at 7am.

Yashu: Arjun, you here. So early

Arjun: Yes Ma'am. I came to see Gunjan

Yashu: Come, we will go inside ICU

Both go inside the ICU.

Yashu: Karan, baby is asleep still

Karan: Yes mom, she slept a few hours back

Yashu goes and wakes her up: Gunjan baby get up. See who is here?

Gunjan wakes up: Mummy

Arjun: Good morning baby

Gunjan: Good morning bhaiya.

Arjun: How is my small baby?

Gunjan: This needle is pricking, tell doctor to remove it bhaiyaaa(starts crying)

Arjun looks at Karan and Yashu

Karan: Chutkiii, 2 more days baby then needle will vanish like this wooshhh(does some magic actions which makes Gunjan laugh in thrill).Then chutkiii will go to zoo to see all her friends lion, tiger, cheetah, elephant with papa

Gunjan: and you Baaa?

Karan: Meee I will not come(acts frightened).

Gunjan: Why?

Karan: if I come zoo keeper will catch and put me in cageee(acts scared)

Gunjan: Why Baaa?

Karan: Because I am gorillaaa no baby

Gunjan laughs. Yashu and Vikram smile and Arjun looks in amazement at the serious Karan turning into a joker to bring smile on his baby sister's face.

Karan's stories and jokes continue as he helps Gunjan brush her teeth and wipe her face.

Scene487 Yashu's pride

Gunjan: Daddyyy?

Yashu: Daddy is coming by today evening only.

Gunjan smiles. Her papa will be with her.

Nurse comes: Baby good morning

Gunjan scared and hides behind Karan: I do not want injection

Nurse: No injection baby. Only will take vital stats

Nurse takes all vital stats

Nurse: When shall I come to give her bath

Gunjan: Bathhh I will not take bath not from nurse

Karan: Its OK, I and mom will give. You just give us the hot water sister after sometime

Nurse to Karan: OK Sir, you are standing full night Yuvrajji. Shall I tell ward boy to get a chair?

Karan: No thanks sister

After nurse leaves

Arjun shocked: Full night you were standing in ICU Karan?

Karan upset looks at Arjun. Full night? If he stands full life next to Gunjan also its less. She had paid the price for his crime. Arjun looks at him wondering why Karan looks so upset.

Yashu smiles proudly: Karan does that whenever Gunjan is in hospital from childhood. Stands full night by her bed as she gets scared in ICU. If she is in ward he sits by her bed side full night

Gunjan holds her brother's hand tight with love and respect.

Arjun looks at Karan with respect. He did not have an idea of the depth of Karan's love for Gunjan. But why did Gunjan be in hospital from childhood.

Yashu: Karan, go and wash your face and have breakfast and come. I will be with baby and feed her breakfast.

Karan: OK mom. I will come chutki 30 minutes

Yashu: Take your clothes from Vikram, Vikram go and bring that cloth bag and give to Karan

Karan and Vikram start going out

Arjun: Karan, wait I will come with you

Arjun goes with Karan to his room in hospital

Scene488 Karan's twin soul

Karan goes to the room allotted to Gunjan.

Karan: Sit Arjun, I will come

Someone knocks. Its Vikram

Vikram: Arjun Sir you here? Take breakfast and Karan bhaiya's dress, I will go and be with baby

Karan brushes his teeth and takes bath and changes dress and comes out.

Arjun looks at him. He had just returned from a 15 day onsite tour 2 days back. He looks damn tired and then this happened with Gunjan. And he stood full night next to Gunjan's bed. The eye bags under his eyes indicate his lack of sleep.

Arjun: Karan, you go home and take rest. I will stay in hospital

Karan: Thanks a lot Arjun. I am fine. I will stay at hospital with chutki.

Arjun: But you are tired Karan

Karan: No, I am not. Its OK

Arjun gives up. Karan leaving Gunjan alone and going is out of question.

Arjun has opened breakfast and already served in plate Paratha

Karan: You also take partha's

Arjun: No Karan you have, I will go home and have

Karan: Its OK Arjun, have it. Sorry there are no extra plates. You have to share my plate. Is it OK

Arjun smiles: Its OK

Both eat the paratha's their mother had packed.

Arjun looks at Karan: Karan, you knew baby was in trouble before only how?

Karan: Because Gunjan and I are twin souls

Arjun: Means

Scene489 Arjun asks Sorry on behalf of Arohi

Karan: Anything happens to her I get to know and anything happens to me she feels without us being present there. She is my twin soul.

Arjun smiles. Karan truly had a soul connection with Gunjan. He loved her very much.

Indeed his Karan was so sensitive he had a soul connection with friends also like Arjun although he does not know his real relation with Arjun. Whenever he was in trouble Karan saved him from police, from clients etc.

Arjun looks at Karan he looks really upset.

Arjun: Do not worry Karan. Gunjan will be fine

Karan looks at him: Do you know why chutki is in that state?

Arjun surprised: Why?

Karan desperate: Because of meee Arjun because of meee

Arjun does not understand: Karan, its not your fault. You have kept an eye on her as much as possible. Do not blame yourself.

Karan stops eating further. He cannot as guilt has taken over his mind.

Arjun: Karannn, I I came to know who locked Gunjan.

Karan looks in anger: Whooo?

Arjun hesitates: Arohi and their friends

Karan looks shocked: What bhabhi and her friends?

Arjun: Yes, I am very sorry all this happened. They wanted to lock you but instead Gunjan was caught. Sorry Karan

Karan stops listening to what Arjun is saying.

He is hearing the doctor tell his father PRS in hospital: It was our hospital's mistake Sir, very sorry. Very sorry for this negligence and lapse. We will try our best to save your baby. Please forgive our staff members. Please very sorry Sirrr

Karan eyes fill with tears and he chokes as he remembers this past incident: Sorryyy, one word devised by the British and world expects everything to be forgiven

Scene490 Karan forgives Arohi

Arjun looks towards Karan who is trying to understand what Karan means but Karan is showing his back to him.

10 years Gunjan had suffered due to doctor's negligence and a sorry is all the hospital offered. They even told papa(PRS) they will waive off her medical treatment cost. But PRS did not want free medical treatment for his baby daughter he wanted her to live. If PRS wished he was rich enough to build 100 hospitals he was so rich.

God only knows how many hospitals PRS ran to try and save his daughter who was critical on the brink of death before he found a doctor was found to save her life. Otherwise hospital authorities had declared her dead 4 times in less than 4 days before

PRS begged doctors to try and revive her somehow not to loose hope on his baby daughter not to remove her from the ventilator to make way for another baby.

For a doctor Gunjan was only another patient whose life and death never mattered was only a statistics but for PRS she was his angel, his mother reborn as his daughter to take care of him and for Karan she was his chutki who had brought his lonely life a hope whose smile and naughtiness filled his life with happiness, for Yashu she was the baby who filled her silent life in midst of three boring men with non stop banter and pranks.

Karan wipes the tears that threaten to flow out of his eyes: Do you know how I felt seeing my small baby lying pale and blue in that store room? How scared I was till she started breathing again? And Gunjan the pain she is enduring pricked by needles and surrounded by all sort of machines in ICU, the tears of my family all should be forgiven because of one sorryyy?

Arjun: I understand Karan what is going on in your mind, but it was done unknowingly without intention to hurt baby. If possible please forgive Arohi and her friends

Karan does not reply for sometime and then says: Its OK

Arjun: Thanks Karan

Arjun leaves to his house as Raj is alone.

Scene491 Arohi and Shefali ask pardon for prank

At 9am dadaji although has heavy fever comes to visit Gunjan at ICU.

Dadaji stays with her in ICU for an hour giving her courage and consoling her and leaves back to house with Vikram as he is unwell.

Its 12pm, HM and his wife also in hospital. Arjun and Raj in hospital.

HM: Very sorry Maharaniji, I did not know all this will happen

Karan: Its OK uncle, its not your fault

Arohi and Shefali reach the hospital.

Arohi and Shefali nervously approach Karan.

Arohi: Yuvrajjiii excuse me, actually actually

Karan, Yashodhara, Arjun, Raj, Akash, Vikram, Security Incharge, HM and family look at her and Shefali

Yashodhara: Youuu, what are you doing here?

Arohi: Mahraniji, actually its our mistake Gunjan I mean Rajkumariji is in ICU

Akash: Means?

Shefali: Maharaniji, we wanted to play prank of Yuvrajji because he did not allow Dulha's jhoota to be stolen. So we saw him going into the store room and locked it. We did not know Rajkumari is inside

Vikram angrily: So you people locked her?

Yashodhara looks at them shocked. They locked Gunjan inside.

Security and staff stare at Arohi and Shefali in anger.

Arohi and Shefali: Sorry Sirrr(to vikram), Sorry Yuvraji, Sorry Maharani Saheba

HM: This is heights of carelessness. If Yuvrajji had not found her another 5 minutes Rajkumariji would have lost her life

Arohi and Shefali look shocked at each other: Sorry uncleee

Scene492 Yashu angry at Arohi

Yashodhara tells in rage: Pranks. My child would have been dead because of your so called pranks. What have we done to you and your family that you are after my innocent children always? I am telling you today you and your family better stay out of my children's life else (holds Karan hand possessively and stares at Arohi)

Arohi looks confused at Yashodhara. Arjun has never seen his innocent mother getting so angry ever. When it comes to her children's safety Yashu becomes like durga, she can take on entire world for Karan and baby's sake.

Karan holds his mothers hand to tell her to control herself and whispers: Mom

Yashodhara looks in anger at Karan: What mom? What

Karan holds her shoulders: Excuse me and takes her away to corner

Karan: Mom, please calm down

Yashodhara: What calm down? How dare she lock my baby inside that room? And her family how dare they send marriage proposal for you when she is married? She better get out of my sights now else I will not keep quiet. I do not want to see her near you or baby ever. And Akash and Vikram are right, we must put these girls away in a dungeon in jail then they will understand what is pain and what is a prank?

Karan: Mommm it was just a prank not done purposefully

Yashodhara: Shut up Karan. Keep your suggestion to yourself. You kids are still small do not understand world. You do not teach me what to speak and tell others. I will never tolerate anyone hurting my children knowingly or unknowingly. That girl first said Yes to marry you although she was married already and now locked my baby and tried to kill her. Must be because we rejected her proposal.
