I read Nisha's post aka _Precious_ and she said that news down the grapevine is that they had executives from Star Plus and production house and Giaa Maanek and Hina Khan in a boardroom and Giaa Maanek and Hina Khan too were all ready to pull out of Jhalak Dikhlaja, then Star Plus executives and Colors executives decided to do a trade of their actors.
Stars like Giaa Manek have less loyal fans, we have seen this with numbers on our forum (yes young people mostly are on India Forums). But the middle aged people watching serials are not loyal, they switch serials at the drop of a hat as we saw how people switched to DABH so easily in the new year.
Star Plus know this, that the viewers watching now Saath Nibhana Saathiya will accept whatever Gopi they put there and accept as long as the rest of the characters are the same and some semblance of continuity in the storyline occurs (link Suhaag Din and pregnancy track).
So actors are traded like cattle or any other commodity on the stock market. The dark ages have returned.
