As CT had reported earlier, the Vikram Prabhu-Karthika film Sattam Oru Iruttarai, seems to be having trouble even post the first schedule. The first schedule took place in Pondicherry and there was talk that S A Chandrashekar (SAC), who directed the original movie of the same name, was proxy directing this movie as well. Sources alleged that this had not gone down well with the Vikram Prabhu and others in the film.
The latest we hear on this project is that it has been delayed. Says an industry source, "It looks like Vikram lost interest in the project when it was no longer produced by Vijay and being directed by SAC. He wasn't giving his best so SAC felt he should do some rehearsals before the second schedule. Though Vikram allotted dates for the second schedule, he's not turned up."
The source adds that Prabhu is playing mediator between SAC and his son to ensure the project is completed. Now, it seems Vikram has agreed to complete the project only post September. "SAC feels he can't wait so long and is looking for another actor to replace him. Apparently, Arun Vijay and Aadhi are possibilities. But Prabhu is said to be worried as he feels actor Vijay, whom he has approached for a film, may opt out if his son doesn't complete this one," says the source. It looks like it's a Catch 22 for Prabhu, who wants to produce Vijay's film, and Vikram, who's looking forward to a successful career in KTown.
