Hi everyone' Have I written a sequel for 'One fine day?' yes, I had. I received many comments and PMs asking me to continue it as an FF and I really felt bad for not being a regular updater. I, being a reader, do wait for people to update their FFs and I know the feeling of waiting and I definitely cannot give you all the same longing. But I thought I could give you all a sequel as a proper thank you.. So, yeah, it's down there which is unbelievably long.. It took 6 MS word pages! I thought of cutting it down but could not.. Sorry, and please do enjoy..

~Sequel to One fine day~

Kushi walked to the stores unable to ignore her mother's frequent requests. She was lazy after the day at college and wanted to lie down in her bed. But her mother's pleading was so disturbing that she could not shove them aside.

She snatched the list from her mother's hand with a mock anger and when she saw the ingredients of jalebi, her face lightened all of a sudden. She quickly kissed her mother on cheeks and flew out the door towards the store. She walked happily with long strides and a slight jump, humming her favourite song all the way.

She crossed the fateful bus stop and halted for a minute. Her smile vanished with a churn in her stomach and she bit her lower lip with nervousness. She remembered how she met her lecturer, Arnav, at the bus stop and how she shamefully eyed him. She could not help but smack her forehead for the indecent behaviour.

She resumed to walk now but not with the previous energy. Her song was muted, her pace was slowed down and the jump was gone. She held the bag with both of her hands and silently walked towards the store with down casted eyes and mindful of raging thoughts.

It's been a week since he came. She had sat through every class but with a flushed face and awkward look. She had mostly avoided looking into him until if he asks something. He must have understood her thoughts she thought. He had interacted with almost everyone in the class with a nice flow except her. Apart from the introduction session at the first day, there were no conversations between them except a thank you from her, for his signature on her weekly report and for which he nodded with a killing smile.

He had carried himself so well on the first day that everyone including boys had immediately began to like him. It's been a week now and she found everyone present in his classes filling up each and every seat of the class. His methods of teaching were so unique and magical that made even a dumb person in her class answer the questions from chemistry shot at him by the principal.

She was amazed at his tactics in making the students take hints which was not like a burden but was like solving a puzzle. She was never in love with chemistry before, neither with her chemistry lecturers before. She was shocked at the mere confession and froze.

She replayed the moments of her introduction at the first day.

Arnav had asked everyone to introduce themselves once he was done with his. He also announced that there won't be any lessons on the first day because he wants to know his students more than their knowledge on chemistry. Everyone was more than elated and participated in the session willingly.

She was surprised at how most of the girls from her class drooled over him and she felt a sharp pain in her heart when she saw every girl looking at him without even blinking. She hated the fact and she now lowered her head even more to hide her horrified expressions.

Arnav on his part was trying hard to control not to look over the direction where his heart was pulling him to look at. He tried more than enough to keep himself on control. He's not her classmate to impress her right away. He knew he had to handle it better and definitely he cannot frighten her by paying so much attention and most of all he could not lower himself into a cheap category in which the teachers blackmail the poor teen girl students. He was disgusted at the thought and his mind immediately snapped up wondering how he'd be able to take it if she thinks him that way.

He'd better die to live such a moment. Teaching was his aim and he's at it now and his ambition does not end there. He wanted to do a lot and steeping so low doesn't come under the list.

The quick threat of his mind, which compared himself to a flirting teacher, stopped him from having any thoughts of her for a worthwhile. He concentrated on other students and their short profile which made him measure them and he made mental notes to make his teaching methods suit their capability.

When it was Kushi's turn, she slowly got up, introduced herself, 'I'm Kushi Kumari Gupta. From-'

'St. George's street, 3rd avenue, right?' he could not help but smirk at her lightly. He cringed for giving in despite his control over mind. Sometimes minds overtake the brains.

Kushi was stunned at the interruption and the additional information she knew about her apart from her name. She thought he had already ignored her by his behaviour. She even scolded herself that he had moved on unlike her who was clinging on to the matter as if she had never met a guy before.

A collective sigh ran among the girls, which surprised both Arnav and Kushi. Arnav knew he could make girls go weak without his intentions but he didn't expect that his own students could be impacted. He realised it's going to be hard to handle things. Kushi on the other hand didn't expect that girls could go behind him so soon. She had thought everyone is so mature except her and now it became an open statement that everyone has fallen for him already. She was in fact quite upset about it.

She hid the emotions and slowly nodded. She fidgeted her fingers and tried to sit down when he shot the other question.

'Do you take the same bus daily?'

'Ye, yes, sir', she wanted to say no, but her tongue was already tied and she could not dare lie to him when he was actually looking into her eyes which bore deep towards her mind and heart.

Actually Arnav didn't want to prod her anymore when he could obviously see her being uncomfortable, but he just could not treat her like all the other students when she appeared special to him. He even loved it when the other girls saw her with a hint of jealous. He felt like continuing the conversation but when she began fidgeting, he wanted to give up.

'Alright, please be seated, Kushi, and you?' he moved his gaze to the next girl but didn't miss the reddened face of Kushi. For some reasons he loved the cute expressions of her.

Thus, he moved on and on to the other students and he never looked at her again but for the rest of the time, Kushi didn't take her eyes off him and was constantly recording his actions. She liked every move of him and whenever he lifted his single eyebrow due to amazement, she felt a smile on her face. She liked it.

She shook her head to release herself from the memories and entered into the store. She quickly grabbed the things from the aisle as she wanted to hit her bed to drift herself into sleep not wanting to remind anything.

She came out of the store and walked to her house all the while trying to divert her mind. That is when she heard the loud shriek.

She turned towards the direction where a car took a sharp turn. She sensed something was going wrong as she spotted a small girl toddling in the road. She again looked at the car and it was zooming down the road towards where the kid was actually stumbling.

She rushed over to the kid not minding about the speeding car and picked it up. When she tied to move away from the place she stumbled by the bag she just dropped and fell on the other side of the road. The bag she was carrying flew high being hit by the car and burst into the air spilling every single content of it.

'Bubbblllyy!!!' she heard a loud scream from the other side of the road which scared Kushi even more.

She was not out of the trance of doubt regarding her escape from the possible accident and she in fact thought she's dead. She opened her eyes and realised she was still alive. She let a relieved sigh and checked the little girl in her arms which was lying on her with shocked expression on her face.

She got up, along with the kid in her arms and examined the poor creature for any wounds and bruises. No, there were none and she was more than relieved. The girl had that horrified look and its lips quivered which signalled a loud bawl. Kushi felt immediately bad. She hugged the kid tightly to her chest and tried consoling it.

A woman emerged from nowhere and hugged Kushi and her kid. She repeatedly thanked Kushi and took her daughter from Kushi's hands and hugged it tightly.

'Thank you so much again!' she said as she looked at Kushi.

'No problem. Just take care of the kid. Um, she's scared, I guess', kushi felt a sharp pain in her temple and she touched to feel something sticky.

'My god, you're bleeding!' the women gushed and grabbed Kushi's wrist. 'My home is just a few feet away. Come with me'.

'Uh, its ok. Not a problem really. My house is near too. I can take care', Kushi protested.

'Please don't say no. I'd feel real bad. You have saved my kid's life. So please..' she pleaded.

Kushi was never used to such big words and compliments. She didn't want to be pictured like a Goddess or a knight in shining armour. Compared to the words, a visit to her house is not going to hurt. 'Ok..', she said and followed her.

They walked for a few seconds when the woman spoke, 'I'm Anjali and she's bubbly, my daughter. And you?'

'I'm Kushi, Kushi Gupta.' She noticed that bubbly had stopped crying and was watching her. She leaned over to her who was carried by her mother and said playfully, 'Glad to meet you, bubbly'.

Bubbly instantly chuckled and leaned over to her. Kushi readily lifted her from her Anjali's hands and both of them resumed walking. They reached Anjali's home and entered the house.

'Chotte!' Anjali called out for someone in the direction of the stairs and turned to her, 'I'm sorry, your things were ruined'. She mentioned the groceries that were hit by the car instead of Kushi and Bubbly.

'It's ok, I've to cross the stores again to go my home. I'll get them again', she said with a smile as Anjali approached her with a first aid box.

'Yes, Anjali', Kushi heard the husky voice of her lecturer and was shocked to see him standing there in the middle of the stairs with equally shocked expression.

'Kushi, you?' Arnav asked as her quickly jogged down the rest and neared them.

Kushi instantly stood up and stuttered for words, 'Yes, I just.. um'

'Chotte, Kushi saved Bubbly from being hit by a car. She was injured.' She turned Kushi's face to the other side to make the wound visible from which blood was oozing out. 'See.'

'What the-,' He was hurt to see the innocent creature before him bleeding. 'Anjali, give her aid first.' He hurried her up and lifted Bubbly to check her for any injuries.

Anjali proceeded to Kushi and made her sit by giving a press on her shoulder. She took the cotton out and poured the antibiotic liquid into it to clean the blood. Arnav who was relieved to see Bubbly safe turned towards Kushi with eyes filled with gratefulness.

'Hey, do you know each other?' Anjali stopped and looked at Arnav.

Arnav who was irritated by the delayed treatment, took the cotton from Anjali's hands, sat opposite to Kushi pulling out a stool and proceeded to aid her.

Kushi flinched back when he brought his hands towards her and clutched the cushion beside her. Arnav noticed her comfortableness, but he knew it was not time for all the uneasiness. He grabbed her jaw gently and touched her injury with medicated cotton.

Kushi felt rapid knotting of her stomach and she curled her toes in reaction to the proximity. She was taken aback when he brought her face close to him to treat her wounds. She shut her eyes tightly when she felt the burning sensation in her jaws and temple.

When the cotton made contact, she felt sharp pain and her eyes began tearing unable to take the pain and the physical contact together. She clutched Arnav's hand from touching her injury and whimpered.

He waited till she relaxed and again started to repeat the action until she stopped gasping from pain. He felt the necessity to reply her sister and without turning he began explaining.

'Yes, Anjali, Kushi is my student.' Arnav's breathe touched Kushi's face and she trembled under his touch. She opened her eyes to see the concentrated looks on Arnav's face and was feeling scared by the way he paid attention.

Arnav noticed that he was too close to her that her knees touched his. He sensed every emotion of Kushi and he just could not help but continue. He wanted to touch her continuously to comfort her and to make her comfortable but it would only make things worse. She held respect for him as a teacher which he knew but he wasn't sure if she has anything else for him. He knew he should force himself to a stop. He moved a bit away from her and ended the treatment with band aid.

It was a cut but not deep. So, the bad aid should be fine. He backed from her and he was disappointed with the loss of physical contact. He tried to control his thoughts and desire so that the relationship they shared as a student and a teacher would remain at least.

Anjali who was missing all the while returned back with coffee mugs for all the three of them and extended towards Kushi. Kushi who was sitting there opposite to Arnav with down casted eyes didn't notice until Arnav picked a mug for her and offered to her.

She looked up at him and took the cup from him and again looked down. She took a sip from the mug and felt calm as the caffeine hit her senses. She felt relaxed as Anjali joined them with her cheerful conversation and informed how Kushi's things were spoiled by the road accident. She insisted him to buy her them back and drop her at home.

'Sure, Anjali, why not? Kushi has done a huge favour for us. It'l be the least for a proper thanks you. Isn't it, Kushi?' Arnav wanted to make her speak. She hasn't spoken to him properly after that Intro session.

'Uhm, Please don't mention it', she addressed no one in particular. She looked both of them while speaking which became hard for Arnav to find with whom she was talking to. 'I'm fine and I can manage. Please don't bother yourself'.

She was unbelievably polite and Arnav was getting more and more impressed. But he cannot let her go on her own, can he?

'No, Kushi. I'm dropping you and that's final', he declared.

Kushi sensed that it's late and blurted that she has to go home. She quietly got up and told Anjali that she need to be at home if not her mother would be worried. Anjali accepted her excuse and insisted that she should visit her often as they don't know anyone here because they had shifted very recently.

Kushi nodded with a smile and she could deny the fact that she had liked the family standing before her. She wanted to know about Anjali's husband too but she knew this is not the right time and she could not bring herself to open her mouth when Arnav was near.

Kushi went over to Bubbly who was watching TV and knelt down before her.

'Bubbly, I'm leaving. Bye', she said as she stroked the kid's nose playfully.

'Ok, but you have to promise that you'll visit me again', she said jumping.

'Sure, but you have to promise me that you'll be very careful when you're out. Will you?'

'Sure, I won't let anyone get hurt because of me.' Bubbly hugged Kushi by throwing her hands around her neck and kissed her on cheek.

'That's so sweet,' Kushi laughed slightly and kissed her back and returned to where the siblings were standing.

Arnav adored her every move and was surprised at how easy it was for her to blend with his family. He could not ignore but wonder something was pulling them together.

Anjali hugged Kushi and thanked her sincerely as Kushi brushed it off as it was nothing. Arnav picked his car keys and led her to the car. He opened the front door for her and waited till she sat and closed the door. He jogged over to his driving seat and got in closing the door.

He ignited the car and that was the moment where feelings ignited in him. It was just another day like the other fateful day when they both met first. And he knew there are going to be many more. He needed to imply his feelings to her but don't know how. She is her student and he cannot risk her studies or his profession to the unknown feelings rippling inside.

Heck, he doesn't even know if she has the same feeling. He must put things to cool first. He cannot decide things hastily. He has to make his move slower and steadier. He knew there's more time to implement things.

He'd wait.

He'd wait until he reaches the right time.

Erm, again, you must all be expecting their time alone and I stopped it abruptly. I know i'm real bad. I'd have continued but it was getting longer. May be an another sequel? lets see.. PMs will be out after an hour..

Please do add your comments and criticisms..

Love,

Nafee😳
