I need help understanding as to why Vijaya wants to ruin Sati's life being her sister? Maybe I have missed an episode.

first of all she doesn't like shiv jst like her father.secondly,she was always jealous of sati bcoz she felt that sati got more love and attention frm her parents than her so she wanted to create problems in sati's marriage so that sati remains unhappy.
