^totally agree!

11AM... not really a good time to sit n watch tv for me with all the home chores to be done... and for many people Sunday even is a family outing / gathering day...

I watch it on YouTube...

n yes the ratings shouldn't be that important... as the show airs on many regional channels as well!!

Dear topic starter,

- A show that (and its anchor, its issue) trends on Twitter and Google every week it is telecast is a flop show?😆

- Forget its marketing team. What about government officials and ministers who are praising it or Sarpanchs and NGOs that are taking action after watching this show? Do you think they are partners of STAR or Aamir Khan productions to hype the show? A girl saved her sister's life after this show's episode on CSA. Is it fake? Are all those stories just hype? 😃

- You took ratings from only Star Plus. Did you forget that this show is being shown on 8 other channels too? And also Doordarshan?

- This show is shown on 11 AM, which is considered a dead slot by broadcasters! They don't even have movies' television premieres on Sunday mornings. Whereas this show airs in morning itself, on a day, when most people are likely to be sleeping till late! Still it managed to get viewership! Read any media reports, everyone has acknowledged that Satyamev Jayate energised the morning slot and proved it could be viable!

- The other thing is that the show's videos become available less than 2 hours later on the very day its original episode is shown.I admit I only saw its first episode at time of original telecast. I have seen all other episodes online on Youtube because frankly, I was either sleeping till late or travelling on other Sundays this show was aired! And once I saw it at night when it repeated at 10 PM on Star Plus.

- This show has got record views on Youtube - highest for any Indian show. One cannot call it flop. On Facebook also it got record number of pages, fans, likes and shares.

- On account of TRPs, if it all it is suffering it is only because Aamir chose morning slot which is a useless slot anyway. And because STAR provides the show's videos just 2 hours after its telecast! They also have multiple repeat telecasts of the show through the week, at all times. Sometimes they repeat the show in morning, sometimes evening and at times late night. Aamir and his team want as many people as possible to watch it whenever they feel convenient. This is why they are providing so many repeat telecasts (in addition to multiple simulcasts) on all channels. Otherwise, when channels want TRPs, they stop repeat telecasts altogether so that viewers are forced to watch it at time of original telecast!

- The show was not just made for TRPs. If Aamir wanted only ratings, he would not have chosen such a moribund time slot, nor would he provide so many repeat telecasts through the week and put up videos in all languages online on same day! Just because he wants people to watch it as per convenience, he has not exercised much business sense!

Otherwise he could have chosen prime time slot or at least afternoon slot, cut down repeat telecasts and not provided videos of episodes - with dubbing and subtitles so soon on Youtube - so that people would be forced to watch it when it is shown originally and it translates to more ratings!

- The kind of show it is - on serious issues and with lengthy duration (1.5 hour), it has got very good ratings! One can't compare it to entertainer type reality shows which are shown right in prime time!

It is not at all flop and not at all overhyped. NGOs, real people, government are also in their team so to hype it up? The Twitter and Google trends can't be manipulated every week. At least Satyamev Jayate trends do not have ''promoted'' tag with them on Twitter! What about likes, views and shares on Youtube and Facebook?

Please also add ratings from repeat telecasts through the week on ALL channels on which SMJ is shown and also add ratings from original telecast in other languages. Then tell how much of a hit or flop it is!
