Not only is 'nahin samne' special to Swaron (and also Rey) and as such CANNOT be used for Taani, but also it doesn't suit the Taani situation at all! I mean- Taani is thinking of Rey and in the background we have "tera naam maine liya hain yahaan, mujhe yaad tune kiya hain wahaan"! WTH! It doesn't make any sense! Whereas it would have made perfect sense to use the whole song for Sharon. It seems that the creative team used this song for Taani just (1) to ruin the Sharon part (2) because they were too lazy to think of a separate song for Taani. This song is a classic. It is about smiling through one's tears- realizing that one can have hope at the darkest times, and that a little hope can transport one to a new world. God forbid that Taani is still hopeful! High time that she stops seeing those silly dreams!
Secondly, Taani's trip down the memory lane was seriously boring. I have nothing against Vrinda and I have accepted that she has replaced Shakti. Well, someone had to. But Taani gets on my nerves! I would prefer to see Vrinda doing the kind of stuff that wins hearts. Like proper dancing! We D3 fans will always appreciate good dance, and always hate to see classical dance being insulted. I do NOT want to see Vrinda having to try desperately to fit into Shantanu's shoes. Give her something new! (But of course, when they do give her something new I'm sure they will give her so much that all the other 11 people will get sidelined!)
On the subject of great dances- I fervently hope that the charity event will prove to be a treat for sore eyes. We haven't seen a lot of dance ever since the RDX-Nicole wedding- just bad Kathak mostly. I'm not counting the D3 signature dance- it was great because it brought a smile to our faces, but it wasn't exactly new choreography. And I'm not counting Chura Liya- it was special to us Swaron fans because it was an 'intimate dance moment', but it wasn't a proper dance like 'haye rama'. Here's to hoping that the charity event will prove to be worth the wait!!
