So I was planning to end the story with the last part, but then realized that Khushi hadn't confessed! This is going to be the last part... I didn't want this SS to go beyond the clearing of the MU and their love-making scene. Sorry, I know you guys wanted me to continue.. but my FF already has enough romance, the wedding and a pregnancy track going on.. I have thought about another SS. I will start that soon, maybe tomorrow. Thank you once again for your comments.. I really enjoyed writing this SS thanks to you guys.

Part 8:

When Khushi walked out of the bathroom, drying her hair with a towel, the room was filled with lit candles. There was soft music playing in the background, rabba ve.. of course! She looked around the room, the stars hanging down from the ceiling were glittering in the candle light, the windchimes clinking and the curtains flying in the wind; it was still raining outside. She saw Arnav lighting a candle near the window, and she walked to him. He looked up as she walked out of the bathroom, she was looking gorgeous, wearing a magenta saree with green border; he remembered, the saree I picked for her on the day of our wedding. When they had walked in from the rain, she had run to the bathroom to change, while he had stayed in the room, patiently waiting for her. He had removed his shirt, but his pants, body and his hair were still wet from the rain. She walked to him, shocked that he hadn't dried his hair until now, pulled his head towards her and started drying his hair with the towel. He smiled, grabbed the towel and threw it away. She opened her mouth in shock and she was about to say something; he put a finger on her lips and shook his head. He bent down to kiss her neck; she smiled and turned around to run away. He grabbed her hand and pulled her to him. She crashed against his wet chest; he put his arms around her and held her tightly. She looked up at him, her heart beating wildly; he took her face in his hands and brought his face closer. She closed her eyes, thinking he was going to kiss her again. He whispered in her ears, "Khushi, didn't you forget something?" She opened her eyes and looked into his. She raised her eyebrows, "What?" He smiled, "Well.. I told you how I feel. Shouldn't you be telling me something?" She blushed and pulled away from him. She shook her head and was about to turn away when the door opened and Anjali came barging in, followed by Nani and Shyam. "Chotte, why did you not pick up my call?" She stopped and looked around at the candle-lit room, a shirtless and wet Arnav and Khushi in saree with wet hair. Anjali blushed and said awkwardly, "I'm sorry, you did not come to the temple and you didn't pick up the call, I was worried.. but now.. hmm. I think we should go, Nani. Chotte, Khushiji, we will have dinner in an hour.. hmm. You both take your time." She blushed, giggled and turned around. Nani looked embarrassed too, she took Anjali's hand and walked out of the room.

Shyam looked at them, furious. Arnav took a step towards Shyam. "Get out!", Arnav said angrily. Shyam looked over Arnav's shoulder at Khushi. She took a few steps back, scared. Arnav moved to the side to block Shyam's view of Khushi. "I wouldn't do that if I were you.. leave this room before I lose my temper." Arnav said, through clenched teeth. He took one more step towards Shyam and Shyam took a few steps back, turned around and left the room. Arnav walked towards the door, closed and locked it. He turned around, his face softened. Khushi was sitting on the recliner, her head in her hands crying. He ran to her and sat down on his knees next to her. He took her hands in his and then touched her face. He lifted her face, got up and sat next to her. She put her head on his chest and he put an arm around her. "Please believe me, Arnavji", she sobbed. "Shyam, he cheated me, my family; he forced me to get engaged to him, when I never wanted to. But when I found out that he was Di's husband, I broke it off, but he still kept trying to show me that he wasn't happy with Di, when I knew how much Di loved him. I would have told her, but I saw how much she loved him. I knew it would break her faith in love and marriage if I told her about him!" Arnav hugged her tightly, as she continued, "But the day of the wedding, on the terrace, when he tried to .. I wanted to tell you about him afterwards. But then Di was pregnant, I .. I didn't know what to do". She looked at him with tear-filled eyes. "I hate him. Even after I broke off our engagement, he has tried so many times to touch me. I don't want him to .. I.. I" she sobbed, and put her arms around Arnav, "I only want you to .. only you.. I always only wanted you to.. I wanted you to be the one.. so badly.. I.. When you were angry at me, it killed me Arnavji.. please don't hate me.. I.. I can't live without you.." Arnav wiped a tear from the corner of his eye. He took her face in his hands, "Don't cry Khushi. He will not get to you ever again. I promise you. You are mine, you always have been and you always will be, baby." He kissed her forehead and hugged her tightly. She looked up at him with tear-filled eyes and a smile appeared on her face. He touched her face, wiped her tears, smiled and asked, "So Khushi, I'm waiting." She moved away and asked, "For what?" He folded his arms, shrugged his shoulders and turned away, "You know what." She smiled and said, "Well.. keep waiting.. I'm not going to say it." He stood up and walked to the bathroom. "Fine.. " When he reached the bathroom door, he turned, leaned against the door and said, "Oh, I see.. you don't have the guts to say it. That's why you are hesitating." She stood up, her hands on her hips and her mouth wide open. "How dare you? Of course I have the guts." "Oh really", he asked, with a smirk. He walked towards her. "Then say it". She looked at his eyes, then looked away blushing. "I," she started. He grabbed her arms and pulled her towards him, "You.. what, Khushi?" She looked into his eyes and smiled, "I..". She pulled away from him, ran to the door and said, "I have to go downstairs now". He smiled, watching her run away and walked to the bathroom.

When he came downstairs, Khushi was serving rotis to everyone. He sat down and as Khushi was about to place the roti on his table, he moved his plate. Anjali and Nani looked up and then at each other, unsure of what happened. Khushi looked at Arnav, confused and then sat down next to him. "Chotte, do you want some rice instead, if you don't feel like eating rotis?" Anjali passed him some rice. As he put some rice on his plate, he looked at Khushi, she was happily enjoying the roti and curry. He got annoyed and he stood up. "Chotte, what happened?" Anjali asked and everyone looked up. "Di, nothing.." Khushi said, giggling. "Looks like Arnavji needs some water with some ice in it, to cool him down. He is burning with fury right now!" Everyone laughed and Arnav started at Khushi angrily. "Look, Di.. look.. I can see smoke coming out of his ears!" He turned around and walked away.

Arnav heard the windchimes clinking, while he was working angrily on his laptop by the poolside. His stomach was grumbling; no, I don't want to eat.. how dare Khushi ignore me this way, especially after I just told her that I loved her! He heard her payal, as she walked towards him. He ignored her and continued to work. Khushi sat down on her knees next to the recliner; she had a plate full of rotis and curry in her hand. "Arnavji, are you angry at me?", she asked, gently. He ignored her, and she added, "I'm sorry; please eat something". He continued to ignore her and she put the plate on the table. She took his hands in hers and asked him, "Ok, enough. What do you want? You want me to say something right.. here you go.. I will say it, but you have to eat your food first." Arnav raised his eyebrows; Khushi gave in easily this time, that can't be right. Arnav took his hands out of her hands and said, "Not so fast, Khushi.. now you have made me angry. You have to apologize first." She raised her eyebrows and started to refuse when he said, "I will not eat until you apologize", she looked at him with tear-filled eyes, and he added with a smile, "You know how to say sorry, right?" She nodded. She stood up, touched her ears with her hands and went up and down, saying "I'm sorry" each time she came up. Her eyes filled up with tears as she did it. He got up as she was doing it, smiled and hugged her. "Ok, Khushi, stop!" She looked at him, sniffling, "Now will you eat?" she asked. He nodded; as she reached for the plate, he grabbed her wrist, "Yes, but only if you feed me."

Khushi smiled and took a piece of roti, dipped it in curry and put it in his mouth. He watched her as she fed him carefully. The next time she put food in his mouth, he slightly bit her fingers and she responded with an "Ouch". As Arnav opened his mouth to say something, he started coughing. Khushi got up to get water for him and gave him the glass of water. She rubbed his back, while he drank the water. As he kept the empty glass on the table, he wiped his mouth and asked, "So Khushi, I ate my food, are you ready to say what you wanted to say?" She looked at him angrily, "You were coughing a minute ago, I was worried that you might choke and all you care about is to hear me say something?" He looked at her confused, "Khushi.. relax, I'm alright." She stood up and moved away. He grabbed her hand and got up as well, "Khushi.. why do you care so much? What did you think... that I will choke to death?" Khushi stared at him, angrily, her eyes tearing up. "How could you even think that? Why do I care, you ask? Why? Because if something were to happen to you, then I will stop breathing. Without you, I'm nothing, Arnavji. Without you, there is no reason for me to live. And you ask me why I care so much." She moved towards him and grabbed his shirt in her hands. "Why are you this way, Arnavji. Did you just fake your cough, just to get me to say that I care about you? why are words so important to you? Do I need to tell you that I love you, that I cannot live without you? Can't you see it in my eyes, in my actions.. don't you feel my love for you? Do I need to tell you that I need you, that I want you?" She collapsed into his chest, sobbing and whispering, "Do I need to tell you that I want to be only yours, that I have always wanted to be yours? What are you waiting for Arnavji? What is stopping you from making me yours?"

Arnav pulled her away and kissed her on her lips, hungrily. He didn't need to hear anything else. Enough, Arnav! You have made her suffer enough! He took her face in his hands and kissed her, his tongue exploring her mouth. She cried joyfully as she felt his need to show her his love. He looked at her, as their lips parted, and then wiped her tears. He bent her face backwards and kissed her neck and her shoulders. She closed her eyes, the touch of his lips sending down jolts of electricity all over her body. He carried her in his arms and laid her softly down on the bed. She watched him as he slid on to the bed next to her. He leaned on his elbow, looked at her and moved her hair from her face. She was breathing heavily; he bent down to kiss her neck. Raindrops were splashing in the pool outside, the winds were blowing hard and thunder was rolling in the background as Arnav and Khushi finally became one.

Thanks for the update. Her confession was a little sad. FYI, I appreciate the authors effort and the essence of the story. It makes no difference to me if there is mature content or not.

Thank you for sharing creativity with your readers. 🤗
