There's already a question as to whether a redemption track is needed.
Why not needed?
- ASR has suffered a lot due to the kidnapping.
- He has in a way apologized through the 'I love you'.
- He has been hurt as much due to the pain and grief he inflicted on himself by hurting Khushi
- He has in a way regretted his actions by questioning it all the time.
Why needed?
- Personally I want the redemption to start from the dori ripping. He apologized to Payal and not Khushi.
- Then the Lucknow footage.
- Then the Diwali kiss.
- Then realize he was in a way instrumental in bringing Shyam into her life.
- Then realize that he misunderstood her about Shyam.
- Then realize he had ruined her dreams by marrying her for 6 months.
- Then realize that all the times he threw her things and hurt her were hurtful.
- Then feel sorry for throwing away her stars.
- Then realize that he had done the worst insult by referring to Khushi's dead parents
- Then realize that he was wrong in calling her characterless.
- Then realize that he had been all along wrong in judging her.
- Then realize that he was wrong in not believing her story about Shyam because he did know the facts,
- Then realize that although he loves Khushi he has never given her the treatment she deserved.
Note, my idea of redemption is just the realization of mistakes. He need not go around hurting himself or crushing his hands or banging his head.
I firmly believe a realization of the above and countless other errors are the biggest redemption. When a person realizes he was wrong it is his biggest redemption.
