Everyone is busy proving that he/she is "not biased" towards a particular contestant. No one is answering a simple question "arJav" asked. Why hating him before at least listening to him?

I think Aneek got what he deserved. Everybody entitled to feel differently, but technically Aneek is the best thing in this show.

And IMHO, a singing contest should be based on technical aspects only. Feeling changes with listeners and it is the job of a MD to decide which singer can do justice to a song.
It appears people here are going for the looks. All the good looking persons (Irfaan, sharib, anwesha, nihira) got huge fan following (not saying anyone is bad, actually they are really good too). really sad to see.

With his melodious voice he has managed to charm Alka Yagnik who was the special guest on the show when he sang the song, 'Tumhe jo meine dekha' from the hit movie Main Hoon Na (play back singing for Shahrukh Khan).

After his performance the judges were curious to know who was in Aneek's mind while he sang the song, to this Aneek exclaims, "There is someone special but I will only reveal more during the grand finale."

Looks like this young Kolkatta lad has managed to sing his way into a mystery woman's heart. Who is that girl who is on Aneek's mind during every romantic song he sings? Curiosity does kill and we are definitely dying to know.

.

Do we assume that Aneek will definitely be one of the finalists?

I'm sorry but I think we just need to agree to disagree 😊. If a singer like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan was to enter a musical competition early in his career, and they criticized him for not being versatile. He then would have concentrated on being more versatile, by experimenting with different genres, and training himself with different forms of music. Somewhere down that road, he would have probably lost track of his sufi and qawwali training, and we would have not had a celebrity like Rahat Fateh Ali Khan today. When Hemant Brijwasi was eliminated from this show, his last comment was, "main ab versatile singer banke dikhaaunga". I was sort of disappointed after hearing this, because Hemant comes from a unique genre of music, and there are very few singers as special as him. I believe that he should concentrate more on his own genre, and eventually have complete command over it. I'll also use the same example as I used in my last post, that Kamal Khan was one of the least versatile singers on the show, but he was still declared the best singer out of everyone else, even though there were far more versatile singers around him. Versatility is a good aspect of singing, however in this generation, uniqueness has proven to be much more dominant.

I don't think adding additional dimensions diminishes your original talent. It can only enhance it in my opinion. I don't think someone as talented as RFAK would lose track of his strengths just because he added a few more components to his singing.

I loved Aneek in Saregama 2007. But he deteriorated during the shows that followed including MKMM. So I was no big fan of his when this show started. But after listening to his renditions like Chatur Naar, Ruth AA gayi re, the Shree Ganesha songs I knew that the old Aneek was back. So it is bewildering to see all this hate against him on this forum. Everytime a spoiler appears here, people are ready to bash him without even seeing the show. People here want to say that judges are biased towards him, but it is important to note that Sreeram or Irfan has never been moved to the Challengers side in this show. I definitely felt that Aneek's Hemant Kumar song 'Tum Pukar Lo' was better than Irfan's 'Dhan ta dan' on the day that Aneek was moved to the Challenger's side. But there was no hungama here saying that the judges were biased towards Irfan. Sreeram also had a few weak performances like on the Raga episode. But the judges always saved him. So why don't people say judges are biased towards them?

Come'on guys...Sreeram, Irfan and Aneek, all 3 are excellent singers and all 3 have had ups and downs on this show. It is also not right to compare anyone here with Mohammed Rafi. No-one here comes close to the legends.

I agree with everything you said about Aneek's performance during MKMM days. Almost all his fans felt disappointed in his singing and Aneek knew about it and agreed and promised that he would do better. Any way, now his hard work is apprently working for him and so far his fans are pleased with his performances. I was listening another one of my favorite singer singing the song Ruth aa gayir re and so I thought I post it here to show how difficult this song is, Harshit also did a fab job!

Vaishali is the most professional singer on the show..

I watch the show for her and I only watch the Sunday episode..all the others are way behind her..she is being held back ...Shanker , once said that he has been judge on many many music reality shows and he has never come across anybody like Vaishali..
