Why are DADs so annoying ?!

I don't know what's the state in every other household , but my dad leaves absolutely NO stone unturned to criticise Indian Telly dramas ! 😳 ( Regardless of whether there's a proper reason to it or not ) I cannot ever watch IPK in peace ! ( He's typically into Soccer , News , Nat geo , History channel etc ! Okay , I like watchin them too .. Plus Nat Geo's got some really cool shows ) But I simply don't understand wats with Dads & their unconditional & irrational aversion towards Indian telly soaps ?! 😕😆 Can someone explain that to me please? Lol

I used to watch a hell lotta shows before IPK as well.. Don't even ask me about the nick names that were kept by him for the main leads , okay can't resist mentioning Lol " Horseface , squareface , Wanna be Hulk , twisted eyes , Dickhead .. some of them are as good as censored 😆

My Mom , Sis & I watch IPK these days .. and I've gotta thank my lucky stars that , this is probably the only show apart from LRL ( He's a big fan of Rajeev as he reminds him of Rajesh Khanna apparently ! ) wherein he finds nothing much to criticise about. Iam guessing he is pretty impressed with Barun's personality ,looks & obviously there's nothing to complain regardin our gorgeous Sanaya .. but , yes BUT ..like a dog's tail that cannot be straightened out , he ain't givin up ! He's nicknamed Barun as " Mr. Stubble " ! 😡 And Sanaya , I think her's is still in the process of being decided .. he won't get any .. give up !

" Dad !! He's doesn't always endorse a stubble , please !! He does shave & he looks gorgeous when clean shaven ! " My dad- " Oh Give up ! "

" So what's happening in Stubble's show ?! " , " Isn't Stubble always angry ? Why's he smiling now ? " " How is your Mom not watching Stubble's show tonight ? "

All I do , is take a deep breath , grit my teeth , murmur with clenched fists " Dad , it's saturday , remember ?! "

It's basically a sin for the three of to watch anything desi infront of him .. he butchers it all with words in a matter of minutes , but IPK's changed him LOL . He secretely steals a glance of the show every now & then .. He LOVES watching ArHi scenes .. them bickering , fighting 😳 But He just wouldn't admit that. My Mom & I , gettin as lame as we could, try promoting IPK infront of him , by loudly playing IPK episodes in his room on the PC !🤣 ( especially watch some epis where he's shaven , use a pic/ sig of his as the desktop wallpaper ) 🤣 , enhance the volume & listen to the NK - Barun interview time & again ! 🤣

Anyone ELSE in the same state as mine ?! 😕😆

Its not just dads. I have this friend who HATES indian tv soaps like anything. She is always critical of it, saying that all serials end up having the same track (which is true but still!)

The only solution to this?

lol my dad don't even care a damn about it neither he crities nor praises,When he is there he only watches news channels*arghh* he does't even know the channel no's properly😆😆

and whenever i watch the show, my dad enters the room and sit next to me on the sofa - he'll start doing faces so i'll ignore the show and focus on him.😳

Haha..my dad doesn't mind as long as I've done all the.chores and ironed his shirts and mad his food he's happy..all MEN will criticise about the Indian dramas you watch but taking the piss out of it..but they still watch it or if you don't talk about it..they will ask you a couple of days later so what's happened Hahaha..

P.S I think my family prefer me watching this than British and American soaps which are inappropriate such as kissing scenes Lmao!!!!!! :P

I would like to share one incident that happened with me last week.

In the mornings usually, I don't speak a word until I drink my tea and eat breakfast. Even my eyes remain half closed. So that time, my Dad loveeesss to irritate me a lot, coz he knows I get annoyed easily at that time.

So that day for breakfast, I had Pancakes. Since it was very cold inside the room due to low AC, I was shivering and holding my tea cup for warmth. And before I could take a bite of the pancake, he started saying "You know, Arnav came to our house today morning and he prepared pancakes. I guess they will be very tasty."

And I was like, "What the Eff is he talking in the morning!" Then I said, "Dada!" I protested not to bug me.

And he is like, "I can see that since Arnav has not come to the show, your face is so down. You are not smiling at the tv anymore."😆 (Actually it was true. Everytime I used to see Arnav, I had a big foolish grin on my face)

And then my Mom adds, "Arnav is not in IPKKND coz he started Pancake business. He is making pancakes for us. They will be very tasty."

And I was like, "Mumma! Stop irritating me with your stupid jokes in the morning," By that time I was super annoyed and started stuffing the pancake inside my mouth.

And then my Mom says to my Dad, "I think we will tell Arnav to be her cook permanently. Afterall, she hates to cook right?"

And from that day, till today, they are cracking lame jokes of Arnav being my personal cook and everytime I eat something, they tell Arnav prepared it.

now to the gross part of the story. My dad says "imagine how much Arnav sweats while preparing Pancakes for her. No wonder they are tasting so salty these days" And my mom adds, "I saw him itching his back while making the batter."

OH GOD! I imagined Arnav doing all this and now I have been scarred for life. Everytime I see him on tv, I imagine him preparing pancakes for me. And other disturbing images too.😆

I know it's lame but I had to share the weird stuff that happens in my house and how much I'm teased for drooling over Barun!😆
