Altho the serial devon ke dev mahadev is the only serial i watch on whole tv i find its losing its way.
One they show shiva behaving like a mortal justifying it as a another of his leela then they end it up by showing sati coming in front of him and telling him to change before that she keeps coming as a mirage. all i can say is capital LOL!!!
stop messing around with lord siva.
Its not another of ur damn serials where you can do a copy paste and change the storyline.
Stick to the originality and dont justify your interpretations or views as his reality.
the last three episodes suck

Its completely true whatever they are showing in the show. Ya I agree they are streaching it long as they are not sure that who should do the role of parvati... but this is true that mahadev behaved as mortal and at that point of time Mata Ganga has came out of his JATA.. to make him cool.. or calm him down. So there is nuffin wrong...

That Sati's body parts fell all over the earth as Shiv carried her body is a fact. That Shiv roamed the earth in search of Sati is a fact. That Shaktipeeths were formed at the places where Sati's body parts fell is a fact. That Shiv became crazed in "Virah" is a fact. That after the Shaktipeeths were formed Shiv went into a deep Samadhi is also a fact. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shakti_Peethas)

This is not being stretched overly long because of search of Parvati, because even though Parvati is a reincarnation of Sati she was not born as a fully grown adult. There was the childhood of Parvati where she was told about Shiv by Narada and her whole development from childhood onwards as a Shiv bhakt. The child Parvati has already been cast as per reports.

What I had found irritating was those inane romantic scenes between Shiv and Sati - but perhaps they were a creative requirement to bring out the intensity of Shiv's grief. The discussions between Shiv and Sati were brilliant but the romantic scenes left me cold as I didn't expect them at all in a serial of this caliber.

for whatever it is, i thank my lucky stars that they have put some effort into the soap and have not shot off inane rescue job stuff which lots of other mytho soaps do or overdose of mahabhakti. There are nots of references to the mythologies and i think its good. The oevr dramatisation, well its hindi tv, what else were you expecting?

Haven't they already done that? With Madanike and Vijaya (and all her drama...)
I just take this as another telling/interpretation of the legend...😊 some of it i like, some of it I don't like (Vijaya nonsense)...

besides what is original and what is fact? Indian mythologies date 2-3 thousand years back, and Indians had no habit of keeping written records, so which story would we consider authentic, Its okay to take some liberty afterall its a creative work and not a documentary , as long as they stay within limits.

I completely agree with that. In fact there are almost always multiple versions/interpretations of all major Hindu myths...variations based on regions, time and so on...that's the beauty/strength of Hindu mythology...

So, in that tradition, I take this show to be a modern interpretation...and they haven't done anything too outrageous with the broad strokes of the legends...

Its great nobody knows the true story but believe in him whole heartedly.👏👏👏

Its just that there is a difference between a serial character and lord.
Lord is worshipped cos we believe in him even tho we nvr seen him.
pointing links and justifying aint the issue.
The faith that we have in him is what matters.
I just got sick of the dialogues that were put into his mouth and the characters revolving around him.
Nandi in particular seemed like some bua of a household...
Least said the better...
hope the serial makes awareness amongst the new generation about lord siva cos times are competitive and parents aint got time to tell kids bedtime stories least of all gods.
Its media's responsibility not to manipulate and confuse people, and equally its our responsibility to check such media by whatsoever means we have by discussing in whatever way we can..
Thank you all!! Lord Siva in whatever form bless you alll!!!

see the show is about interpretation-since none of us have met Shiva to know what he is like..is there anything wrong in showing him that Sad-how can he just go and sit after he has lost his wife so tragically...they say even Shree Ram cried for his Sita-then what is ShivJi...ShivJis beauty lies in the fact that he is so emotional-thats why he is called Bholenatha...hes softhearted and that is why all of us love him and are devoted to him,Divinity does not deprive someone of emotions...but as i said its interpretation-its all about how you interpret it..
BTW-there is nothing wrong in expressing youre views but using words like Stupid/Flop are strictly not allowed as they are pretty strong negative words and they may hurt sentiments and may even result in fights.Keep that in mind the next time
