Ahem's frustration level had built up further due to not having time to talk to his wife. This postponement and delay were testing his patience making him restless and uncomfortable.
His body was being misread by Gopi and Anita, each for their own reasons. Gopi for having heard their conversation of him accepting that he married the wrong person and was forced to do so by his mother, while with Anita her intentions are just to get back Ahem all for herself.
In Gopi's case, her emotions were left hanging out to dry and her promise to Rashi was of no use as she felt that she was losing her battle to save her marriage to Anita when he interjected on the progress of the marriage arrangements without giving a reason.
Ahem's pent up feelings and thoughts were eased when he saw his wife coming down the stairs and was introduced. He looked on at Gopi taking in her pleasant smile and thinking when will he be rewarded with one.
He was rewarded with much than this when the guests praised his wife making him feel proud to have her. A further reward came when he got to touch her hand as she too reached his ringing phone too. He lovingly looked at her, letting her perform her wifely duty.
Anita's trick on Ahem revealed to her that he considered himself lucky to be married to Gopi. At the same time she left him feeling with a sour taste in his mouth of her unhappiness in her proposal. Her real reason will be revealed and Kokila will deal with this aptly.
So what was so different about Ahem's marriage? Now that he has expressed him being fortunate being married to Gopi he needs to let her know. This day is not far as he cannot hold his frustration back much longer. With further delays in him being given an opportunity to talk to his wife, where will it take Ahem to?
