3 episodes gone and very needed topics taken up. The dowry episode was a little let down for me as they did not show any punishments granted. He just said that we believe the law will take its course.

I would like to see 1 episode on our law system especially in RAPE and RAGGING cases . The law in this case is not very strict hence its continuing at fast pace.
I don't think that anyone in our country has been hanged for rape. Even life imprisonment is very rare.
Again Ragging is also continuing. The colleges should make strict laws on this. It can be only stopped if students behind ragging are given harsh punishments and also the college authorities are heavily fined for not able to stop it.
Our country definitely needs lot of changes in our Law books

The second episode I wish Aamir would dare is CORRUPTION. Would he speak on Lokpal bill is yet to see. would he take on his political and corporate friends.

- Aamir or his team cannot show punishments granted. They are not the law themselves. They have to remain in limits of a TV show.

- I agree issues like rape and ragging must be taken up in a big way on a national platform the kind of which SMJ offers. Let's see if these issues have been addressed in coming episodes or not.

- The issue of corruption has not been taken in SMJ. Aamir has already lent his support to Lokpal bill, sent a letter to PM and also shared stage with Anna Hazare last year at his rally. I don't think he needs to show an episode of SJ to reiterate his support for Lokpal bill yet again.

He is trying to bring more awareness and changes in the society. Don't be so hard on him. Let him do it in his own comfortable zone. It is nice that he adds some humor to the show. These topics are heavy, serious and can be depressing. Some humor definitely helps! We all have to contribute and play the part in whatever little way we can.

Yes dowry episode was too light , it seemed like he wanted to keep everyone happy and not get into the real muck that this issue is ... so yes it raises serious questions about how truthful he is to the cause and yes will he dare talk about corruption and janlokpal ... after the dowry episode I have my doubts .

As a movie star and a public figure one is always under scrutiny and walks on a tight rope!

He already got too many unnecessary barbs even before the show went on air! Everyone was questioning his intentions on doing this show. Unnecessary religion and politics based angles were brought about even when he took up female foeticide issue or met CM!

He was attacked last year also when he lent support to Anna Hazare and Jan Lokpal Bill. Still he's been an active part of Anna's movement. He was previously involved with RTI campaign too.

I think he's already doing whatever is there in his capacity. Do you think Jan Lokpal bill would get passed post SMJ? Nope. Govermment passed CSA bill because it is a small issue for them. It's non-controversial for government. But I am sure they would do NOTHING if some bill like women's reservation one or Jan Lokpal came up! These are contentious issues with a lot of politics involved.

He's doing whatever is in his capacity to do. We can't just keep handing him list of issues to take up.

I think Satyamev Jayate has its limits being a TV show. It is not possible to take up all issues and not possible to keep following up for years.

As far as issues are concerned, there's this whole can of worms out there. A TV show backed my a Muslim movie star cannot take up all of them. Already there is lot of politics being played over SMJ just because Aamir's a Muslim!

I agree idealistically Aamir ought to show courage and show all issues. But realistically it is not possible for him to take up issues, and not certain that whatever issue he takes up will see some improvement!

I was somehow against idea of Aamir doing such a show, because then one is asked to take up other issues too or expected to follow up everywhere, all the time - which is just not possible. Today he is even being questioned about lack of action on female foeticide in Punjab (where it is most rampant). What should he do now? Visit every state's CM?

SMJ is a TV show with its limitations. As much as we can rejoice over its impact at some places, we have to remember a show can't do much. Though even I admit, that ideally I would have liked Aamir to take up issues even more actively or take up other grave issues like justice for 1984 Sikh riots victims, Jan Lokpal etc. But only he knows what could be the ramifications of him taking up issues, whether it would have positive impact or just create controversy with no fruitful outcome! Controversy will be created by politicos but accused will be Aamir Khan for doing everything for publicity! No fruitful or positive outcome on the issue!

I would LOVE to see the status of Muslim women in our country.
That NEVER gets attention.
I would LOVE to see a show where he chronicles the life and careers of successful Muslim women in India.
Muslims have unprecedented freedoms in our country.
Things that are unimaginable for Muslim women in some parts of the world are approved and celebrated in India.
Personal freedoms, freedoms to wear the clothes they please, they have access to the best education in the world...
I would like to see him report on the freedom and liberties granted to people.
I would not mind seeing or hearing about his own personal success story as well which was only possible because he was born in india😃😃😃
It would act as a resource, a guiding path to misguided youth who are fooled into believing they will not be afforded the same opportunities because India is majority Hindu.
