Why I thought the dream sequence was fine...

Yes...there are 10 billion topics about this and my opinion really isn't too hatke to really pay attention to but I might as well put it down here lol

So i know there are mixed feelings about today's dream sequence - some say it was OUTSTANDING and other's say it lacked the intensity of previous ArHi interactions. Both are totally understandable opinions and can be justified and you know what, i agree with both :)

My take:

I think there are two main reasons why today's scene was done the way it was done. I agree, the scene was a treat to watch and in the circumstances it was shown (it being Khushi's dream), it was perfectly visualized. At the same time, yes, i did feel a "lack" of intensity or spark. However, in my case, i'm glad they toned down the chemistry, IF it was done intentionally. I think the reason it didn't have the SPARK was that it was Khushi's dream and hence Arnav wasn't in character...but i could be TOTALLY off haha

First of all, Arnav has JUST confessed to Khushi and she has her little fantasy of them being happy together. And it was a beautiful sequence with some pure lovin' between the two of them. But at the same time, it was pretty out of character, at least that's what I felt...that's not really Arnav...yes, he has his moments of mushy love but he's not the completely romantic types. 👍🏼 It's almost unnatural and out of character. But Khushi's newly in love - she's obviously going to have an innocent little day-dream about them having a perfectly happy and romantic moment.

What makes Arnav-Khushi's chemistry so amazing? Their characters! The Arnav that Khushi was imagining was her romantic Prince Charming - but he's not that - i'm sure when they get together, he will have his romantic mood swings and give her flowers, etc. - but the common factor in all their amazing scenes so far, whether it be the Diwali scene or the pool kiss scene or their Teri Meri dance is that he's been in his alpha-male mode, initiating the first move - surprising Khushi - THOSE have been the scenes that have sizzled! In Khushi's dream, he was the typical sugar-coated lover boy but in reality, those two won't be like that - yes he'll have his moments of romance but when Arnav romances, he romances to the next level, with an air of dominance, with the upper hand. 😍

I remember i used to watch sooo many shows where the dream sequences were so much more chemistry-filled than the actual scenes between the couple and I would be SO disappointed.

I'd rather they utilize the diwali-type chemistry on rare, special occasions where it comes naturally than force it in our faces to the point where each scene just looks bland and the same - i'd rather be like OMG THATT was SO GOODD and have that scene stick out in my memory than every scene being along the spectrum of "goodness"

OK that was a rant...cut it 😉

I definitely agree with you. The dream scene was from Khushi's POV. About how she imagines Arnav in her mind. What she expects from him. Thus definitely, there will be something amiss in that scene.
But I totally loved the scene.
Yes, the intensity of Diwali scene needs to be reserved for some special scene. Otherwise, it will be taken for granted like the Rabba Ve (remember the time about two months ago when we absolutely hated that and called it Dabba ve)😆 Coz they overused it. Hence, same goes for Diwali phatakas intensity and expressions!

Haha oh my gosh yes, there used to be a time where every other scene was a Rabba Ve moment! I'm glad they've started to use it more cautiously now, in scenes that actually matter. I'd rather have fewer Rabba Ve's with more substance than 3 per episode with none of them standing out

hey shockalot!

fabulous post 👏 👏 ...i agree to ur point! this sequence was completely from khushi's POV and hence, it was totally filmy...it was more abt how she dreamed her love life would be...and therefore, instead of arnav, we saw the man khushi thinks she loves!

the chemistry was lacking cuz arnav factor was completely missing from the sequence...he's not necessarily all abt dominance..but yeah he's not so mushy...he's more subtle...and he loves to tease his lady...so he wouldnt give in that easy as in the dream! 😆

n yep, better spare the chemistry for the REAL scenes...cant imagine wot that wud be like...when arhi come face to face after this! 😍😍 CVs - i demand a REAL TIGHT HUG, pleej!

cheers,
Shilpi

SHAZIII!!

Tu ekdum correct baat bol deti hai jaanemann 😉
Totally agreed with you! I like how it was picturised. I liked the fact that the intensity wasn't on a full gear because it was just a dream. And that too from Khushi's side. I thought that the sequence was cute & well picturised. I mean did people really expected to see lots of touching & kissing on cheeks and neck and stuff in Khushi's dream? :P It was simple and cute and ArHi's expressions when Khushi reads the ILY note, OMG priceless.

Lovely topic <33
