CHAPTER 2

"Bhai mein Anjaliji ke liye lehnga design karungi"

"KYA???" both Riana and Khushal asked simultaneously.

"Haan bhai aap hi toh chahtha ha na ki mein apne aap akele kuch karun.. yeh mauka mujhe de dijiye please"

"Par Khushi tumne toh kabhi Anjaliji ko dekha hi nahi hein.. isi vajah se toh Riana lehnga design nahi kar rahi hein... tum kaise manage karoge???"

Khushi wanted to tell them that she knew Anjali very well and deep in her heart she longed to be with them and particularly now when she was getting married. But she could not. If she said them she would have to go through several questions and her brother would ultimately know the truth that the man who broke his sister's heart is none other than his best friend.

"Bhai aap uske phikar mat kijiye. Unhe dekhe bina hi mein unkeliye lehnga design karungi. Uske baad aapko apni iss behen pe garv hogi"

"Accha , lagta hein meri behna yeh kaam dil se karna chaahthi hein. Chalo jaise tumhaari marzi. Lekin kaam issi hafte ho jaani chahiye. Mein Arnav ko batata hoon"

Arnav was deep in thoughts of Khushi when Khushal phoned.

"Kya baat hein Khushal, sab theek hein nah, abhi abhi toh hamari baat hui thi phir achanak phone???"

"Oye mere dost koi problem nahi hein. Meri behen Khushi tumhari behen Anjali ke shaadi ke jooda design karenge. Any problem with that??"

"Mujhe kya problem ho sakta hein. U know why mein iss baar yeh kaam khud nahi karna chaahtha right. Aur phir agar tumhe tumhaari behen pe poora barosa hein then why should i fear."

"OK so thats done. Vaise umne sagai ke photo mail kyun nahi ki???"

"Oh so sorry. Abhi kar deta hoon"

"OK then bye. Cya and better take care"

"BYE"

Khushi was working on the lehnga design in her room.

"Khushi, Riana jaldi aao, Arnav ne engagement ke photos beje hein"

"i'm coming Khushal ek minute" Riana replied

Khushi was about to go but something stopped her.

"Nahi Khushi uss photos mein toh voh bhi honge. Aur tum apne aap ko sambhal nahi paoge. Isliye mat jaa aur bhai ko bol de ki tum unhe dekhe bagair hi lehnga design karungi thaaki bhai ko koi shak na lage tumpe"

"BHAI meine aapse kaha na ki mein unhe dekhe bina hi apna kaam karungi isliye mein baad mein photos dekh loongi. Ab mein kaam mein busy hoon" Khushi shouted from her room.

"Ok Khushi as you wish"

By Thursday Khushi had completed the lehnga and she took it to Riana as Khushal was out with some work. She went to Riana's cabin

"Bhabhi Anjali ji ka lehnga bilkul tayyar hein dekho"

Riana examined it. She felt that it was not the ASR level design .

"Khushi design bahut achi hein, lekin tumhe nahi lagta ki yeh kuch halka hein, aur yeh shaadi ka joda hein Khushi yeh light pink colour theek rahega kya???"

Khushi knew that she would have to answer such questions when she chose this colour. But she knew Anjali di better. This would be perfect for her.

"Haan bhabhi yeh unkeliye bilkul theek rahega. Aap bhai se pooch lijiye!!!"

Suddenly Khushi felt a familiar sensation. As if he was near. She peeped out through the glass walls of Riana's cabin and there he was , her Arnavji along with her brother. She had avoided his photo and now there he was in front of her

"Bhabhi mein abhi aayi". Khushi managed to say before she rushed out and hid in the loo.

Arnav and Khushal entered Riana's cabin. Khushi grabbed this oppurtunity and went to her car and instructed the driver to take her home

"Riana, Khushi kahan hein ??? ASR lehnga ke design dekhna chaahtha tha, he also may need some changes."

"Khushal, actually"

"Riana you seem to be nervous. Everything OK???" Arnav seemed worried seeing the expression on Riana's face.

"Actually ASR Khushi ne lehnga ka kaam poora kar diya hein. Its completely ready."

"oh so changes cant be made ah???"

"i'm sorry to say that. Please have a look"

He took the lehnga in his hands and examined it for some time. Khushal and Riana looked at each other thinking what would be the great ASR's response on Khushi's work until he spoke up.

"So this is what you all have designed for DI.???"

So how was it guys???

Was it too short???
