Rajan Shahi, producer of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai got a shock of his lifetime when he heard rumours that Star TV is planning to bring an end to the soap opera.
Though Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has been garnering good TRP's, the buzz was rife that Star TV wants to wrap up the show apart from few others. It was being said that Star is in search for a new strategy to improve the TRP's of the various shows on the channel.
Though the channel and the producer said that they have no plans to end the serial, we cannot dismiss this piece of news completely as just a rumour. Bidaai was one serial which was doing well and was viewed mostly by the family audience. However, it went suddenly off air to give way to another show.
Well, let's hope Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is not meted with the same treatment.
