Part 8 ~ Love is when...
Arnav was trembling. He felt that Khushi was near him,very much near. He banged his hand on the sofa. He rubbed his eyelids against each other as memories of that hateful day flashed in front of him...
"Why Di? I won't believe you! She was behaving quite wierdly for the past few days. But THIS is just not possible. Tell me Di,where is she?",Arnav roared at his sister.
"Its not a lie Arnav. She has left. I tried to stop her but she wouldn't. She said she hadn't forgiven you and never will",Anjali said, trying hard to fight her tears back.
"What! NO! That was all forgotten! We were together for so many months. I mean where did this come from? She had forgiven me for all that long back.What happened to her suddenly. Tell me,where she is di. I will talk to her",he said.
Anjali shook her head unhappily.
"I don't know Chote. I am sorry. I just don't know",she said, her head facing the floor.
Arnav looked at her stunned.
"WHat's wrong with you Di? You know what she means to me right! Tell me where she is",Arnav demanded.
Tears started to flow down Anjali's cheek.
"She didn't tell me Chote",Anjali said in a low tone.
"What! You met her! How could you let her go Di! HOW!",Arnav panicked.
"I tried to stop her Chote. But she wouldn't",Anjali said in a serious tone.
Arnav's knees gave away. He sank onto the floor on his knees. His whole body was feeling heavier than ever. The pain he was feeling inside was breaking him. He still couldn't digest the fact that Khushi was indeed not with him anymore.
"She left me?",he whispered to himself in a painful tone.
Anjali couldn't bear to see his although she had anticipated it. Only thing she could was place her hand on his and give him her shoulder to cry on.
"Khushi! ",he whispered. Tears were welling up in his bloodshot eyes. He was feeling lifeless. This was the end. He was dead...
"Khushi..."

"Khushi",Arnav whispered. He opened his eyes. However hard he tried to erase those memories from his mind he couldn't. They seemed to haunt him. He wiped his tears away and took his coat from the cupboard. Taking his bag, he went downstairs to leave for his office.
"Sir, its not about how much you love each other,its about who you are when you are with each other",Khushi said keeping a hand on Mr Kumar's shoulder.
"You both had a love marriage. A relationship of 3 years before marriage. You both know each other pretty well. Fights happen in every relation. The thing that matters the most is how you overcome them. I can just advice you to think over your divorce once more because you both make a wonderful couple",she completed with a smile.
"I know Mrs Khushi. But the arguments never seem to cease. Its like this relationship can offer nothing but pain",Mrs Kumar said looking sad.
Khushi smiled.
"Maam, fights happen only when love is there. Love without pain is not true love",she said.
Khushi's smile vanished as she turned to glance out of the window. Memories flashed in front of her... Good ones... which made her more miserable.
"Love is when a husband makes his best efforts to make up with his wife..Love is when a wife finally smiles to that...love is when he finds you beautiful even when you have just woken up from bed.. love is when you miss each other even before you part.. love is when he never gets tired of your endless talking.. love is when his name alone sends a chill down your spine.. love is when you look into his eyes and can see his heart... love is when you shed a tear and still want him.. love is when he gets up each morning just to admire you sleep in his arms.. love is when you close your eyes and see his smile"
"Khushi"
"Hmm..."
"I love you"
And she melted in his arms...
Khushi opened her eyes to come back to reality. She took a deep breath and turned around to watch the couple. They had a smile on their faces.
"You really love someone right Mrs Khushi?",Mrs Kumar asked.
She just gave a smile in return. Just then her phone rang.
"Oh no! I got to go. I will meet you next week. Same time",she said before she ran out of the door leaving the couple open mouthed.
Lavanya sat lazily on the sofa in front of the television munching on her popcorn. She glanced at the clock. It was 9 pm.
"C'mon Khushi! I am getting so damn bored",she said to herself.
"Not anymore",she heard Khushi's voice behind her. Lavanya turned towards the door to look at her. Her face had a bright smile.
"Meet someone",Khushi said as she gestured the person to come inside.
Lanavya stared open mouthed at the person standing in front of her...
