She has to choose either her son or yash, She chose son because she knew in choosing Yash one child will become orphan, due to her choice at least all three kids will have one parent , She knows Ansh is small and needs mothers care Yash is matured and doesn't need baby sitting.

Not sure why adults who claim to have raised three SONS forget this little aspect of parenting.
