1. How long have you been practicing/playing the piano?!
Well, I played the piano for about 5-6 years. I am recently taking a break from it(haath dookhthe hai yaar)😆 But I practice my songs, and look ahead the piano book so when I come to class, I already have an idea of what I am doing and can get straight with the class.
2. What/who was your motivation and inspiration to learn piano?! Do any other family members play?!
Yes my sister plays the piano, she was inspired by me. See actually, I loved to listen to the piano when I was young, and my mom liked it alot as well. This is something she wanted me to do, she always tells me I want you to learn as much as you can so when you grow up you are able to say you can do anything, cause yeh life main kaam ayega. She is, has, and will always be my motivation to play the piano. At times, I really hate playing the piano, but at the end of the day, it is something wonderful, soothing, and something new I learned.
3. Please describe/explain to us the major parts of the piano.
Keys- Each key makes different sounds, there are many keys, par the main keys are C scales, which is Key C, Key D, Key E, Key F, Key G. There are ways of rmring em par thts too much in detail.
If you look down to the piano there are three pedals, you can put ur foot down on one of em, to make the notes sound longer, and once u let go then it stops the long sound.
See I play piano, we never learn the so many parts of piano, par the keys and pedal, I think are most important.
4. Is a piano similar to a harmonium, in terms of playing?!
Hmm, well Piano is bit similar, par harmonium and piano are still diff, number one harmonium in terms of size is different. They make different noise, the keys are same, playing it, well, similarity is there, par if you are talking about just comparing then they are different.
5. Who, if any, is your favorite pianist?! Why is he/she/they your favorite?!
Well, I play piano cause I love it, its a passion, I only concentrate on what I play, my mistakes, improvement. There are many pianists in the world, par my fave pianists would be in the Renaisance time, cause they had classic pianists, and they were too good. The best actually..
6. Where in your house is your piano displayed?!
Well, My piano is small, par its in a room, not anyones room in particular par in a nice room. Its soothing, and peaceful in tht room..
7. When and where do you find it most relaxing/soothing to play the piano?!
After I take a shower, I think thats when my mind is calm, and I feel relaxed, then I can play the piano and relax and be more focussed.
8. When you are playing, describe your emotions at that moment (how does it make you feel)?! Do you close your eyes while playing, like many others?! If so, why?!
Lol, well ji, depends on the piece of music you are playing, some can be very jolly, while others depressing, par if you play on ur own, then it depends on how you are feeling tht moment. I remember when I feel mad I go on the piano, and just play anything, par its loud, and all over the piano, so yea.
9. If you were given a chance to portray your talent at an event, to which song/musical would you play?! Why?!
Lolz, I do that, par I think I would play something soothing, yet a lil jollly. Maybe a disney classic, or the Swan Lake, or the Entertainer...
10. Is there any other instrument that you would like to learn how to play?! Which one(s)?!
GUITAR! I would love to play that!!! Its soo nice to hear guitar work, it mostly descrives how I feel at tht time.
11. In movies, why do you think characters are sometimes shown playing the piano during sad/emotional scenes?!
Well, Piano itself has so many sounds, and noises, you can express any kind of feeling, so when they are sad, they can play certain notes which has a saddish tune to it. Its the best way to express yourself.
12. Last but definitely not the least, a very special question from our very special HG, why do you think a "pia+no" is named what it is?! Does its name have any meaning to you, or do you know the meaning of piano?!
Hmmm, I dunno why they named it what it is, but to me, it means
"Melodic Emotions" thats what it means to me....
