Everything went blank and the white shirt of Arnav turned red pretty soon.

Chapter 12

Khushi woke up with a splitting headache. It took her a moment to take in her surroundings. She couldn't comprehend what she was doing here but seeing blood all over Arnav jolted her back to the present. It was still raining although the storm seemed to have receded. She didn't know how long she had been unconscious.

Her breathing stop. Was he alive? Oh my god Arnav!! She rushed to him. She tried to wake him up. She urged him to wake up. Still nothing happened. She put her head on his chest to hear his heartbeat. Thank god his heart was beating. If it had stopped her breathing would have stopped with it.

She took of her dupatta and tied it to his head to stop the bleeding. The dupatta became red in mere seconds. Khushi had never been so scared in her entire life. She was scared, scared of living a life without Arnav in it. Oh god everything is fake. Her anger, her hatred everything. All that is true is her love for him. She could not and would not let him die.

"Khushi" Arnav called her faintly.

"Oh my god Arnav. Don't worry nothing will happen to you. I'll never let anything happen to you." Khushi said taking his face in her hands.

"I'm going out to find help alright. You don't worry"

"Nooo, it's raining outside. Don't go " Arnav tried to stop her.

"Don't worry nothing will happen to me." She said kissing his forehead.

Arnav wanted to stop her from leaving but he fainted again.

It was pitch dark. It was raining very heavily. But nothing could stop Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada from trying to save her husband's life.

Shivering from head to toe she walked determined to find help. It took her finally found a house and knocked like a women demented. It was opened by a man who first looked at the shivering lady standing in front of him looking like death itself and then at that clock. She told him her plight and begged him to save her husband. Luckily the man was a doctor so he took his kit and drove with her to the place of accident. They took Arnav and rushed to the hospital.

Once Arnav was lifted in the gurney and the doctor had assured her a hundred times that Arnav is going to be perfectly fine did she find time for herself to faint with a thud on the ground.

It took Arnav only till the morning to recover but Khushi's condition was worse. Walking one hour in freezing cold rain in nothing but a thin kameez hadn't done her much good. So once again Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada had risked her own life for that of her husband. A husband who didn't deserve it one bit. A husband who was burning in the worst pit of hell.

The family members were informed within one hour of their admittance in the hospital and had been here since then. They heard with what bravery Khushi had risked her own life to save his. Nobody had ever doubted that Khushi loves Arnav but today they learned how far khushi could go for him. Then why? why was she holding herself back? what could have possibly gone so wrong that Khushi wasn't even willing to give him a chance?

When Arnav woke up the doctor again repeated how his wife saved his life. When he asked where was she at that time his question was met with silence. When it was not possible to control him anymore then only it was revealed that Khushi was in the next room, her condition was quite critical and she was slipping in and out of coma. Arnav had never felt so helpless.

It took Khushi three days to regain conscious fully. Arnav didn't leave her side for more than ten minutes these four days. The family members saw how he was repenting.

The doctor saw the love between the two of them. He wished if every couple could have this type of love. If only he knew!!!!

As soon as she saw that Arnav was fine and beside her she breathed a sigh of relief. The second thing that she did was avoid him. It was not possible to avoid him when she was strapped to a bed by IVs and tubes and he was sitting inches away from him but she didn't even once look at him or answer his questions. The accident might have made her momentarily weak but she was in no way going to go back to him. Looking at him will just make her want to.

Arnav was like "What the"... this girl risked her life for him and now that she was back to her senses clearly she was giving him cold shoulders.

Their family members were like "Oh crap not again!!!" . The had seen a ray of hope for Arshi and now it was back to darkness.

"Oh no Aniket I'm sorry because of the accident we missed our flight. Book tickets for day after tomorrow alright. I'm missing home a lot

Arnav understood the Khushi was running away. From him and from her feelings. He mentally completed What the a thousand times.

The doctor said they could take Khushi home with them but it would be better if she stayed the night. Arnav made sure that she stayed the night.

The nurses gushed over how lucky Khushi was and how she had the perfect husband while Khushi got ready.

Arnav took her bags and they walked towards the car. Khushi was so busy in her thoughts that she didn't notice that they were not going to Raizada Mansion but somewhere else. She realized that when they reached in front of a very beautiful Mansion.

Knowing that arguing would be futile she followed Arnav inside. Once inside Arnav closed the door and Khushi looked around to find no one else here except for them.

"Don't worry Khushi I didn't bring you here for any nefarious purpose. I brought you here because we need to talk."

The next chapter is going to be the turning point of this ff 😃.
