Chapter 1
He peaked outside the frosted window, leaning down as he structured his eyes to minimise the insanity of the world. His eye a dark green, sometimes filled with pain, sometimes with confusion and hate. Not trying to hate the world for soul searching but trying to survive and build a brick around his heart. Slowly slipping his hands inside his black trousers, he sighed breathing out the celebration of his own able life which he believed he had all power of. Simple solutions beamed in his brain for solace but lunacy and distance from humanity made his steps fall back down. Turning back to his glass desk he began to play with his coffee mug, circling his finger around the circumference of its interior.
His thoughts were broken by a knock on his office door. "Come in" he ordered as he eyes flickered against the resolution of his breaking thoughts. "Sir, here are the files you ordered for the Mr Malik case. "Could just place it on my desk." He said as he walked over to his leather chair. "Is there anything else you need sir." Questioned his secretary. "Nope that's it, thank you." As his secretary left the room, it left leaving him to hear the bouncing vibrations of the door. Flicking through the case file, he could read the lies poring from the opposition teeth. Maybe he wished inside, instead of innocent souls making it through day-to-day life, they could exchange places with the exploiters so they could see the light. Goodness, yes indeed it is silent but it the only thing feeding this world. He sometimes stared at the people and the witness sitting in the court, not realising that eyes of the law are of the human, those eyes of an in perfect human.
Checking his watch it read 6; he walked out of his office and drove off in his car. Entering his home, this was the place where he felt safe, where his truth would not be shunned. Walking towards a lady sitting on a chair, he sat beside her placing his head on her shoulder. "So how was your day Arjun." His mother asked as placed her hand on her Childs head. "same." His mother always knew what was in his mind but knew her son never expressed his feelings to no one, enclosed away or hardened by the his aspect of the race. Breaking away from his mothers embrace he smiled lightly placing a kiss on his mothers head. He began to walk towards stairs, "arjun" his DJ called as she came out of the kitchen making his steps come to a halt. "there is something me and you mother want to talk to you about ,so jaldi nechay aana" he nodded silently to reply making his way to his bedroom.
Unscrewing his tie, he looked at himself in the cupboard mirror. Carefully imaging his distant memory as an orphan. He thanked and loved his family who made him them his own and made him feel valuable in they own eyes. Inside he always knew he was sacred of love, due to the silence it holds and its carless walks making it untold. As a kid he prayed with is hand wrapped around that someone would understand him, I guess he did as he was showered with a sister, mother and a grandad and grandma and always remembering he has a thousand reasons to smile everyday. He was afraid of getting close to people. Moving away from the mirror he forgot that he had no time to stare in it for any longer.
Unbutton his shirt he got changed in a causal grey t-shirt and black joggers. He made is way to the dinning table and sat next his sister Aria, who was tugging her grandma to utter and start the subject. "Come on DJ"...she whispered. Arjun skimmed his eyes around from his mother to his DJ, realising they were up to something from the facial expression. "arjun." His mother called, making him look up," we were at uncle Mohan's house today, do you remember him?" "yep." His mother paused before she carried on the conversation." Well, he said was asking about you, maybe you could pay him a visit." "yeah sure."
Aria could not hold it any longer "there is one more thing, you are missing mom, the most important thing" aria said in a slow motion manner tying to get the conversation moving again. Her mom nodded with slightly nervousness as she knew her son may not respond. " do you remember his daughter Arohi... Arjun was smart enough to realise where the conversation was heading.
