Dreams is one of the things I like about sleep and hearing romantic song in background in dreams when u r having a dream date with ur fav star is like cherry on top of ice cream but why the hell is the song repeating every two minutes I wondered when It actually stuck me that's my ringtone……………………. Oh Christ it's my phone ringing all the time ………………….. I woke with a jerk and grabbed my phone to check the caller ID , its meera I m gonna get killed …………….
" hey dear " I said innocently not wanting to get scolded for ignorance
" u have no idea what I have for u " she sounded excited that means I m not going to get lecture on how to attend calls on time
" u sound excited did u just get new book for which was waiting for ? " I might sound weird but for me nothing is better than books
" I did find something to ur interest but its defo not book " she still had excitement in her tone
" wats that " I tried to sound excited
" well be here in XYZ mall in five minutes " she ordered before disconnecting the call
Maal ? early morning? Well 10'o clock is not early morning but too early to be in a mall for me ………………….. but still I mamaged tp pull out of my bed got ready and reached there at mall ………………………….. I searched everywhere and finally found her near ' cookie man ' seeing the shop I realized that I skipped my breakfast and my tummy already started to growl ………………….
" oh geetu u finally came " she came running and hugged me
" wats that u called me so early here " I asked her while my eyes were still on the cookies and ice creams
" u have no idea what news I have for u " she said with mischievous smile
" listen whatever news u have can defo wait until I grab a cookie and coffee for myself " I said walking towards the shop leaving behind a shocked meera
" oh noways it can wait " she frowned following me
" now wats that BIG NEWS ? " I said emphasizing the last 2 words while paying for my cookies
" ok let's have a rapid fire " she said
" ah ha that Karan Johar in u ……… I have a coffee so it matches " I said stupidly raising my coffee mug to show her
She rolled her eyes but was not ready to give away the ' rapid fire thing '
" shoot on " I said munching my cookie
" ok fine ………chocolate "

" Jackie …chan may be….. I don't know " I said doubtfully

"ma.. " I suddenly stopped in my tracks when I realized what I was to say and turned to see her
" I can't believe this ……………… u r still using that to tease me ? " I said walking to her trying to look irritated ……………..
" oh so y are ur cheeks all apple red ? " she asked me crossing her arms with stupid smirk
Ah do I really blush or its just my frds way of teasing me ?
" wats it with ur surprise and ' photograph' ? " I asked annoyed
" well I saw ur 'photographer' here in the mall " she said
" what ? "
No way he could be her I mean how can he ?... all these years I have never seen him …………………… he doesn't belong here I know then how he could be here …………..if that's true then …………….. then what will I do ? what can I do ? as if he will remember me ………………
" geet are u here ? " meera shook my shoulder and I came out of my thoughts
" u must be kidding stop these games for god's sake its not fool's day " I said
" I swear " she placed her hand on her throat to defend her words
" u haven't even seen him " I said
" but I have seen his photo and I remember his face " she said
" its been like 5 – 6 years he must have changed " I said
" his face obviously didn't change but yeah he has got taller and those muscles an all he kinda looked quiet hot " she said

" sweet heart ? " she winked

"I was trying to help u " she made a baby face
How much I wanted to put a 'not interested' face I couldn't so I finally asked her the qus for which she was waiting ……….
" where ? "
" Theater in the fourth floor " she said
Was it really him or she thought it to be him ? ………………. Anyways to find out we have to wait for next one hour until the movie ends ……………………
We both were standing sipping our coffees waiting for the show to end and finally the time arrived ……………….we searched him and my eyes fell on a tall man in middle twenties , muscular , blue jeans checked shirt …………………. He was facing his back to me and when he turned – tadda—it was him ………………… I rubbed my eyes to check if it was not my hallucination ………………. It was indeed him ……………..
Meera somehow convinced me and dragged to a shop where he was with two other girls and a boy …………………… she wanted me to talk to him ………………
" u can't be serious meer " I said
" come on geet go and talk " she pushed me
" he won't remember me and even though he does what will we talk ? " I said
" u remember him so will he now go and talk even though he didn't wats so big deal in trying " she gave me a angry glare and I walked towards him nervously
He was away from his gang checking some books and I stood near him on pretext of looking at the books ……………………. I looked back at meera who showed a thumbs up ………………… I looked at him trying to form a word when his head suddenly turned to my direction my heart just skipped a beat …………….. he smiled politely and I gave a nervous smile he picked a book and walked away …………………….i looked back at meera with a baby face and she showed me a thumbs down…………..
Hopelessly we both walked to the food court ………………..
" don't put on that sorry face dear " she said
" I m not worried …………….. he is not that imp that I get worried for him " I said though I held a ting of disappointment
" ohk now get a table for us and I ll get an ice cream to make ur mood well " she said walking away
I sat alone recollecting what happened 6 years before …………………. My first crush on a complete stranger at the age of 17 …………………………
During my summer holiday my parents wanted me to spend it wisely and instead of joining computer class like rest of the population I took up 3 weeks photography class ……………… unfortunately none of my friends accompanied me as they were busy in vacation ………………… I entered the class to see few members of may be my age or quiet elder sitting there already …………………. A couple of them smiled at me and I returned that ……………………… the girls and boys were seated in two separate rows ……………… girls on right and boys on left …………………….. I took last before seat near a girl who looked same as my age …………………… its not tough for me to make frds soon ………………………. a man who looked like may be in his early forties entered and he was to teach us Photography he called himself Mr.mehra ……………………..he made basic introduction and asked for a volunteer everyone ducked their head …………………….. so the man himself picked the boy from the second row ………………. I couldn't see his face as he was facing his back ………………………… mehra sir took his photo in different angles so the he can display it on scree to teach us ………………. Till all this photo section was over I was playing with my phone …………………. Later after 15 mins mehra sir called for attention I looked up and ……………… well was awestruck I saw the boy whose pic sir was actually taking few mins ago …………………. The pic was in big screen and his face was just perfect than any other boy I have seen for his age ………………….. he possibly would be a year elder to me not more ………………….. his eyes were as sharp as a sword , his perfect long nose, clean shaven God he was just amazing ………………..
I really hated the fact that it was just two hour class I hardly got time to look at him …………………….. the next day I came to class quiet early for obvious reasons when I entered he was already there he raised his head to look at me ………………. It wasn't exactly a smile but ii couldn't tell what it was but it was attractive ………………… my cheeks heated up turned red …………………I sat in my usual place and looked at him ………………….. I was aware that he looked at me through corner of his eyes …………………. A chill ran down through my spine ………………….. The whole 3 week class went with our hawa hawa look look session …………………………
The last day of her class we were taken to garden to take some natural photos with which we could participate in a contest ………………………. Each and every student was made to pose as a model for the photo …………………….. I was wearing a white anarkali which probably suited the early morning sight …………………… when I was called to pose for the photo what I dreaded the most happened from nowhere he appeared and stood at the front with his camera ………………… even in class I wouldn't look straight into his eyes strangely this guy made me shy ……………… now standing in front of me just inches away I couldn't even breath …………………………. I was really embarrassed when one of the girls stated that my cheeks were in beautiful red color because I knew what and who caused it ……………………… I bet I saw him smirking at the statement …………………..
We were all allowed to go around taking photos for the contest ……………. I just randomly clicked some shots ……………………. When I was walking in the lawn I saw him clicking a very difficult picture half hanging in the tree ………………. I was really curious to see that more importantly I realized that was the last chance to talk to him ……………………… I went and stood behind him when he turned he was defo shocked ………………..
" umm ……. Can I see that pic ? " I asked uncertainly
" of course " he said giving the camera
The pic was wonderful must agree he is talented …………….
" its amazing " I said
" thank u " he said
Dumb guy won't he initiate the talk I cursed him mentally ……………
" which school do u go ? " I asked casually
" I m from delhi ……………… I came here to meet my grandparents not wanting to waste the hols I joined this course " he said
Oh that means probably I can never ever see him after this ………..
" oh " thas what I managed to say
We walked to in silence until his cell buzzed
" excuse me " he said before picking the call
I wondered if I should actually wait or just walk
" I m sure it happens but has not happened to me yet " he said in phone yet looking at me
What the hell that supposed to mean ? was it actually indented to the person in phone ……………………….. we again continued to walk when his phone conversation completed ………….
" I m sorry but I didn't catch ur name " he said finally started a conversation
" umm Geet …………….. geet handa " I said ………… I was about to ask his name when he said
" I m Maan khuranna " he smiled
I heard one of my friend who I got to know through this course yelled for me ………………….. I looked at him as if telling that I have to go ……………….. I started to walk away when I heard his phone ring I turned to see him he actually had his phone in his hand but was looking at me ……………………. He smiled, why?... I didn't know but I smiled back before walking ……………………
Later my friends told me that may be he was trying to ask my number I was really such a dumbo …………………………….if I had given him my number that day I wouldn't be sitting here disappointed …………………..
I was brought back from my thoughts when someone tapped on my shoulder I turned expecting meera but was shocked beyond words it was him ………………..
" geet ? " he asked uncertain …………………… his voice has changed but defo sounded great
I bit my lower lip and pressed my fingers in my palm to start myself from grinning stupidly and act weird in front of him …………………. Oh god did I miss this he remembers my name ……………………… I badly wanted to dance in joy ……………
" yeah " I tried to sound unaffected and confused
" oh god I can't believe this …………….. do u remember me ? maan ………….. maan khuranna from that photography class ………………. 6 years ago ………….." he tried to give me hints as if I have forgotten……………….
" yeah maan khuranna how are u? long time " I m gonna a make a good actor I bet
" I m good ……………… I m glad that I have seen u here " he sounded genuine
" will u join me for coffee ? " he asked
" are u sure I mean u have friends " I said looking back at his shoulders
" don't worry they are leaving anyway " he said
I readily agreed I saw meera from far watching us so I knew she won't mind me joining him ……………………. She texted me all the best with a blushing smile …………………. Love to have understanding friends ……………….
We both sat opp each other ………………… he thankfully started the convo …………..
" u know it's funny but when my granny asked me to visit her this year I was really hoping to meet you " he said with a embarrassed smile
" I knew it was u in the book shop but was quiet hesitant to talk " he said cutely
Oh man this boy is so cute and genuine
" I thought u won't remember me and I will end up making a fool out of me " he said
I started to laugh and he gave me really 'WTH' look …………
" u know what I did recognize you in the book shop and to be frank I came here as one of my friends spotted u in theater and called me " I admitted I thought he deserved to know this for his cuteness
" really " he asked with wide surprised eyes
We then had our coffee with random talks ……………………finally when the bill arrived he grabbed it before I could take ……………….
" hey this is my city I get to pay " I said
" but I invited you " he snapped " moreover I don't like when beautiful girls take out their purse "
" are u trying to impress me ? " I asked doubtfully
" haven't I already " he asked
I hate my cheeks for turning into red color …….he smirked seeing me ……………………….
" don't look disappointed u can pay tmr " he said
" are we going again tmr ? " I aske surprised
" aren't we ? " he said
He is something else than what I expected but I love his new style ……………………. I don't know where it will lead in future but for now its heading in perfect direction ………………….
