Rajkumar Sharma, Rajasthan's Minister for Health, has criticised Aamir Khan's TV show Satyamev Jayate.

The minister has accused the actor of "sensationalising female foeticide cases" in the state. While one cannot deny that the government has swung into action after the first episode of SMJ, Sharma says, "There was an impression that the government took action only after Aamir's campaign, but I would like to highlight that we've already been working for the same. Budget announcements to check foeticide are there and several other steps are being taken. The government took up the issue much before Aamir Khan's programme."

He further says that Satyamev Jayate is not a campaign for social awareness. "Aamir himself has said that he is an entertainer and cannot work longer on one topic, that simply means what he is doing is for monetary gains. If he really wants to work on this issue, then I welcome him to come and work here on ground."

Yea right! If the government was really doing something, then the # of females wouldn't keep decreasing every year. And Aamir himself said that when he's doing this show, he won't be endorsing any products and if he were really in this for monetary gain, then he wouldn't help maharashtra's ( I don't know if it was maharashtra or some other state) minister in taking steps against female infanticide! And Aamir has said in the promos that he doesn't want to just bring forth these topics in front of the world, he wants a change even if it is on a small scale. Aamir is making a genuine effort to bring all these social injustices in front of the world!

i doubt the government did anyhing. if they did then India wouldnt be dealing with these thoughtless people who have no identity.
cases such as what have been shown should be considered first and given priority not put in a waiting line in court.
this show will bring change...
i wait for it

Yeah, we saw how much work they have been doing. They had clear video footage of doctors agreeing for abortion as evidence for 8 years, and the doctors are still practising.
And he thinks this show does not raise awareness, but is an entrainer? I don't know if he was watching the same show as I was, but looks like I missed the entertaining part.
