Short Update: Arti and Krish manage to stop the doctor from injecting Pooja. Everyone now knows about Pooja's pregnancy and the doctor performed an abortion during her very first operation. The Tiwaris decide to take Pooja home rather than risk continuing in the hospital. Rangoli questions Brij on behalf of the audience and BBP spends the whole time rolling his eyes because the CVs haven't yet figured out what exactly they're doing with his character.
Krish has found BBP's yellow file and Arti opens it and they're shocked to find Pooja's missing medical reports in there. Arti says her suspicions are getting more and more confirmed by the second. She is even more devastated when she comes across an abortion report. Krish wants to know why she looks so shattered and she tells him that Pooja was pregnant and the doctor performed an abortion during her very first operation.
Krish is stunned. Arti says Pooja's pregnancy must be why she was shot. Krish is furious and says these people have no regard for human life. (No kidding, genius!) He and Arti both slap the medical reports until the post-it note knocks free. They read the carefully noted down time and date of Pooja's would-be-deadly injection and realize they have to stop it. They run out of the office.
In the ICU, the doctor is taking his own sweet time, probably waiting for the clock to strike the time he'd written down in the post-it note. He elaborately opens a syringe packet, takes out the poison, fills the syringe, squirts some out (why does he care? She's going to die anyway! Silly fellow) and then swabs Pooja's arm like she's getting some vaccine. Suddenly Krish and Arti burst into the room and order him to stop.
They ask him what he was trying to do and he says that's a silly question, he was just taking care of his patient. Krish and Arti have an extended detective session š during which Arti waves the abortion report under the doctor's stunned nose and Krish finds him hiding the poison in his coat pocket. Krish orders him to spill the beans about his master and threatens to have the bottle tested in a lab. The doctor immediately wrestles him for it and is relieved when it breaks on the floor. Krish grabs him by the throat and the doctor yells for help and tries to have Krish and Arti kicked out. Arti refuses to be kicked out and bars the hospital staff from touching her sister.
She also announces Pooja's pregnancy to the whole room - which now includes the senior Tiwaris and Bhavna too. The doctor runs away promising revenge like everybody else on this show, and the Tiwaris and Bhavna are left with Krish and Arti. Sumitra is staring in horrified disbelief at Arti. Harivansh slowly walks up to her and asks quietly if Pooja was pregnant.š Arti can't face her father. He stumbles out of the room, followed by Sumitra.
Bhavna is about to follow when Arti stops her and asks her how come the doctor she brought didn't know about the pregnancy? Bhavna tries to come up with an explanation but Arti is having none of it and kicks her out. (It's a good thing Arti now knows but if Pooja's abortion was carried out during the first operation then how would Bhavna's doctor have known? That whole checking thing happened later. This is the amount of attention being paid to this show right now.) Arti tells Krish that they daren't leave Pooja alone or near any member of the hospital staff now.
The doctor goes running to his office, mopping sweat off his brow and is shocked to find it ransacked. He then frantically searches for the yellow BBP file and is relieved when he sees it - but then falls to earth when he sees that it's empty. (Hain? Ajeeb bewakoof doctor hai - he clearly saw Arti wave those papers in the air. What did he think? She took a photocopy?) He remembers Rangoli's words and thinks to himself that if BBP finds out about the missing records, he will be killed. But he can't afford to hide this from BBP either. He tries dialling BBP's number but can't make himself do it.
At the haveli, BBP is talking to some guy who wants to be minister and Rangoli is smirking as usual. They trade barbs as always and he tells her she might understand him more if she paid less attention to his every move. She says if she does that, he'd go running back to Pooja. He says she's more stuck on Pooja than he is and he's forgotten Pooja.
Rangoli says she's sure of that because his memory is tied to his self interest. When he wanted a political career, he married her. When he wanted some affection, he trapped Pooja. And when he thought Pooja was getting in the way of his career, he got rid of her and her baby. BBP rolls his eyes. Rangoli asks him to remember when she had an abortion and his reaction to her action. Now here he is, the same person, but he didn't think twice before getting rid of his baby. (This is basically every single question we as the audience have had about his changed behavior! š²) BBP has nothing to say in reply other than rolling his eyes. Just then the phone rings and it's the doctor on the line. But even though Brij answers it, the doctor hangs up on him in fear. Brij looks worried and Rangoli studies him bitterly from her corner.
(Wow, so now Rangoli is the sympathetic character! š)
Harivansh is sitting curled up in a chair, dealing with the heartbreak when Sumitra comes and sits next to him, staring at him with silent anger. Harivansh tells her to speak her mind, he knows she has a lot to say but is holding back. She asks him if he really doesn't know what she has come to say. She asks him how long can he bear this insult and humiliation - first Pooja keeping relations with a married man, then getting pregnant. Harivansh stands up for Pooja and says it;s not her fault. She was misled.
Sumitra says she might have been misled but when people come to know, they will blame her parents for not raising her properly. And now Arti is setting off on a path equally fraught with danger. She begs him to leave as soon as possible before people come to know anything. She says they don't have the power to battle such important and powerful people and reminds him that he is the father and he will have to face the taunts.
Harivansh says its true that he is their father and he will have to face the world but before that, there is someone else who will have to face the world. He wipes the tears from his eyes with a determined air and gets to his feet and tells Sumitra he's going to go sit by Pooja.
Sumitra sits there for a while with tears pooling unshed in her eyes and then goes to the nearby idol of Mahadev. She says she's not against her husband but doesn't know how to explain that she's only looking out for her family's best interests. She asks Mahadev for help in finding a way out of this trouble.
(They're still doing the family bits very well. And of course, they're lucky to have Rajesh and Sonali in these roles because they're fantastic. It's the faltoo ka detective show that is so very pathetic.š¤¢)
Harivansh, Krish and Arti discuss what to do next. Arti says they have to get Pooja out of the hospital that very night. Krish comes up with a brilliant plan - move Pooja to another hospital. Arti sneers at him and tells him to think of one that won't bow down to BBP. (Gaurav's expressions at this point are šI feel so bad for him!) Krish fails and asks Arti to suggest something. She says they should move Pooja home and she'll arrange the machines Pooja needs. Harivansh and Krish agree.
Precap: Krish, Arti and the Tiwaris try to roll Pooja out of the hospital. A nurse raises an alarm and the hospital staff try to stop them. Krish says they don't want the hospital. The doctor smirks and tells them to hand over 4 lakhs in hospital bills if they want to take Pooja home or else be prepared to face criminal charges. Tiwaris and Krish are shocked.
So finally we know the answer to the question of Pooja's bills - nobody has been paying them! And apparently the Tiwaris thought it was all for free. 𤣠Isn't Krish from a wealthy family? Is this where he steps in? Or maybe Arti goes on a fund raising drive and the media get involved. And then BBP and the rest of the haveli have a heart attack. Doesn't Pooja have any money? They could ask Govind Shankar to hand over her jewelry and sell that, giving major heartburn to all š
