The voice behind Mitwa in KANK
By IndiaFM News Bureau
The musical trio of Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have proved their metal yet again with the top charting numbers of Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. 'Mitwa' is one track that is surely conquered the hearts of many.

"We were in Goa composing the track and we wanted an exotic voice for the song. Shankar once heard Shafqat Amanat Ali's song 'Ankhon Ke Sagar' on radio and was quite impressed with his voice. He immediately texted his friend and RJ Tarana for the singers name. We wanted to work with Shafqat since then for something really big and 'Mitwa' happened," says Ehsaan Noorani who feels Shafqat was the right choice.

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna is the trios second innings with Dharma Productions, the first being Kal Ho Na Ho that was declared as one of the biggest musical hits of 2003. The music gurus have a lot more to offer to their fans with releases like Farhan Akhtar's Don and Shaad Ali's Jhoom Barabar Jhoom to name a few.

The Pakistani Pop Icon

With a wallowing-in-melancholy sound similar to AKS, Fuzon's music has an upbeat quality that makes it even more addictive. An honest emotive album in a world of tabla's and dhol's... a brilliant album, undoubtedly one of the strongest of this year. Fuzon's vocalist Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan, one of Pakistan's most distinguished classical pop vocalists, is at his very best... a formidable achievement, every glorious second of it. • Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan - Vocals and Backing Vocals [son of Ustaad Amanat Ali Khan] • Shahlum Asher Xavier - Lead and Rhythm Guitars and Backing Vocals • Immu - Keyboards, Synth, Bass Synth and Backing Vocals • "Saagar" was released across Pakistan on 21 October 2002 by Sound Master. • "Saagar" was released across the UK on 02 February 2003 by Sound Master and AP Productions. • The tracklisting for "Saagar" is as follows:- 1. Ankhon Ke Saagar... 2. Teray Bina... 3. Madhbanti... 4. Doorian... 5. Pyar Na Raha... 6. Malhaar... 7. Deewane... 8. Nadania... 9. Baatain... 10. Ankhon Ke Saagar [Guitar Mix]... 11. Khamaj... 12. Akhiyian ... All songs were written, composed, performed by Fuzon except Pyar Na Raha written by John Mall and Dooriyian written by Fuzon and Muhammad Nasir. Produced by Immu. Co Produced by Shahlum Asher Xavier. Backing Vocals on Teray Bina by Waseem Niaz.
