Author's note: Very very sorry guys. Rest assured, the next updat will be within two dates. I have already written the part.😊
Part 35:
Geet was pacing around her room frustrated. From childhood she had an uncanny knack of opening her mouth where it was not required and today she was paying a heavy price for that.
Oh no! It was nothing to do with the fact that she did not love her parents. SHe loved them to death. But she could have atleast asked them what exactly happened instead of jumping to a hasty conclusion.
Nothing much had happened that fateful night except that her papaji's car had bumped into a stone kept in the middle of the road by the workers. As a result her Papaji turned the car and banged into a tree. The impact wasnt that forcefull as he had already applied breaks. Everybody were safe except Papaji whose leg got sprained. And Geet being Geet left Maan and reached Hoshiarpur in the blink of an eye only to discover that everybody were safe and sound.
One week had passed by and nobody seemed to be bothered about sending her home. Didnt they worry what her in-laws would think? But of course Daadima, the loving and caring lady insisted with her mother that she stay as long as she wanted. WHICH SHE DID NOT WANT!!!!
It was like her soul was stuck in Delhi and her body was stuck in Hoshiarpur. She was feeling more and more miserable by the day. Maan called her regularly for the first few days since she reached home, but later his calls started becoming a rarity. Was itpossible that he had already forgotten her? The very thought gave her a heartache.
She missed him so much that she wanted to run back all the way to Delhi. Maan! her heart cried as she thought of him. She was holding onto his memories like dear life. She so wanted to go back to him, but what would her family think if she wanted to go back when Daadima had asked her to stay! They would think that she didnt love them anymore now that she was married.
She was trapped from all sides. She took Maan's photo from the bed side table, hugged it tightly to her chest and cried herself to sleep.

Maan shut his laptop in frustration. One week had passed and he had not seen his Geet. The emptiness was killing him. He couldnt bear another day without her. Calling her and talking to her was a torture, since he could only hear her voice knowing that he could not touch her.
Geet! he banged his fist on the table. Why couldnt she come back? Now that she knew her family was ok, she could atleast make an effort to come back, couldnt she? But of course she couldnt. His great Daadima had insisted that she stay with her family for atleast two weeks.
Damn his daadima! why was she torturing him like this? When he did not want to get married she would continuously eat his brains about marriage, and now that he was married, she sent his bride away from him? For crying out loud they didnt even have thier suhagraat.
All he could think of was Geet. Thinking about her made his so hard that he had to take long torturous showers in the middle of the night which little but helped the animal inside him.
Enough was enough! He was going to claim his bride as his, and nobody could stop him.
***********************
Her mother was dressing Geet up. They had to attend a close friends wedding and everybody in the house was getting ready except her Papaji who was resting. Geet couldnt care less as to what she was wearing but Rano insisted that she dress up like a newly wedded bride. Her mother had especially brought a netted red saree for her and got a deep almost backless blouse stitched for this occasion.
Geet looked in the mirror to see that she did indeed look like a newly wed. After that Rano left her to get ready herself. Geet picked up the sindoor from the dressing table and applied it in between her parted hair. She closed her eyes and remembered the moment when Maan had filled her forehead with his colour. Thinking about it made her more depressed. She did not want to go to some stupid wedding. She just wanted to lock herself inside her room.
As everybody were getting ready to leave, Geet went and told her mother that she really wasnt feeling well to attend her wedding. No amount of persistence from the family members could convince her to go with them. Finally they asked her to take care of herself and left.
Geet went to her Papaji's room and attended to his needs. Once he took his medicine and closed his eyes, she switched off the lights and came outside the room. Then she made her way upstairs.
Her room was dark except for the moonlight illuminating it and Geet prefered it that way. It perfectly suited her mood. The breeze was unusually heavy, making the curtains fly giving it a very romantic illusion.
Geet shook out of her thoughts and looked at the mirror to remove her ornaments. As soon as she looked into the mirror her breath stopped and her heart skipped a beat. Near the doorway was the sillhoute of a man, blocking the entrance. All the moonlight did was reveal his eyes, and what Geet saw in his eyes turned her insides into mush.
Precap:
COming up, the most awaited suhagraat...😆
