'Balika Vadhu' celebrats 1000 episodes

Colors' flagship show "Balika Vadhu" will Touchthe 1000-episode mark tonight, and along with that, there's a new twist now.
There will be a new man introduced on the show for Anandi, now that her divorce with Jagya has come through. That's Shiv (played by Siddharth Shukla), a well-groomed vibrant man of today with an army background. But will Anandi accept him? Will she be able to move on in life?
Says Pratyusha Banerjee aka Anandi, "Life has not played a fair game with Anandi but she'll never give up. The decision that is being taken by The Elders in her family to get her remarried is for her good. I'm hoping Anandi is able to tell all Women to never give up and take charge of their life." Smita Bansal (Anandi's mother-in-law) adds, "Being a woman and a mother, I do understand the turmoil that Anandi goes through. This move also is an effort to set the age-old tradition right, and give women more power to make the choices of their lives." Says Anup Soni(Anandi's father-in-law), "The story and script have been written keeping in mind the sensitivity of the subject. The show is backed by the thought that goes into conveying the message."
