lets know the concept of the show.
Concept:
Navya symbolises the new young generation of India. A 19-year old college goer, Navya is an extremely identifiable and average girl-next-door, who is confused about her life like a lot of young India is. Navya naturally balances modernity & traditionalism in her day-to-day life without even consciously thinking about it. Like most youngsters today, Navya has middle class parents, who constantly struggle between being parents and friends to their children.
Her friends enjoy better freedom at home - one of them also has a boyfriend and Navya secretly wishes for one who would do mushy things for her, yet she is happy in her own world. As luck would have it, Navya falls in love with Anant, a boy hailing from a traditional and conservative family. Over time, the story beautifully captures Navya and Anant's journey of love and their trials and tribulations in trying to stay uniquely Indian and yet moving ahead with the times.

Navya Mishra
She's a young lady of nineteen who has got big black eyes, bewitching features and innate moral values. Navya tends to be jittery around new people, especially the opposite gender, given she has never been much in their exposure. She is a principle-oriented juvenile, her approach towards life is directed by her family, mainly but she's eloquent at the same, her actions are dignified and she heartily loves her family and friends. Off late, Navya has been perturbed by the presence of the newest inmate of her party at college, Anant Vajpayee. She harbors distinctive and deep emotion with respect to the lad in the heart, she is mostly in love with him, however her feeling is evolving, and she goes stagnant at his very appearance.

Anant Bajpayee
He hails from an elite and political family; however the culture of the household is pretty ancient and strict. Anant chases his principles and worships what has been taught to him by her family, he's gotten a mature eye to inspect issues and also manages the contrast-related problems his peer group and family cause, they cause friction but Anant eases it. Anant changes a great deal, emerges as a hyper, stubborn and adorable nineteen year old boy, he gets typically normal when subjected to Navya. Gradually, he has gotten intimately acquainted with her and the synthesis of his feeling against her is on.

Renuka
She is a twenty-two year old housewife and mother of a newborn. She regrets her marriage and is by no chance ready for bringing up a juvenile. On one hand, she believes her younger sister, Navya should be bestowed with all that she never got, she feels apprehensive and annoyed of the perceptional changes that have come in her family post her time to Navya's. He endeavors continue to be unknown.

Deepak Mishra
He is Navya's father. His exterior is strict and stern whereas he is entitled to a soft heart, a heart that of a father. He asserts that he believes truly in his children and that he'd bestow Navya with everything he couldn't get his elder one, he intrinsically is guilty-conscious of his elder daughter's early marriage and does not wish to do that to Navya. He knows of his trust in Navya, but his distrust in the world she is exposed to leads him to strictness and conservativeness, even when he wishes to be lenient.

Meeta Mishra
She is Navya's mother. She has kept her family woven together and continues to do the same. She's a sublime agent of strength to Navya and understands her aspirations well. The demerit she possesses is that she has little to speak for herself, and has more work to do under the pressure of her family issues. She's an ordinary middle-aged lady.

Shankar Dayal Bajpayee
Shankar Dayal Bajpai is the patriarch of the Bajpayee family. He is someone who has seen the carnage of the partition, and firmly believes that families should stick together, because anything can happen anytime. That is just one of the reasons his family lives jointly even in today's metropolitan Mumbai. He has managed to keep the family values intact and all the men are involved in his family business of printing press called Geeta Press. He is a noted religious and cultural speaker. In all senses, he is a self-made man, and it is for this reason that he is highly respected by everyone, including his near and dear ones.

Om Prakash Bajpayee
Om Prakash is the one actively running the publishing house, Geeta Press. Shankar Dayal just overlooks the business and is mostly involved in his lectures. Om follows his father's ideals. He is as stern as his father and can be harsh with his words. He respects and loves his father more than anyone in the world and wants to make him proud and happy in whatever he does.

Sugandha Vajpayee
Anant's mother, Sugandha, is a conformist - the kind of bahu every traditional family would want and like. She has forever lived by the dictum that being a silent wife and daughter-in-law is the way of life for a woman. Being the eldest bahu of the house, she takes care of every section of household-running that is allotted to her. She knows the hierarchy and rules of the house, and makes sure that she will follow it to the T.
To Anant, she is a loving mother, someone who understands that his troubles are a result of the adolescent phase he is going through and that her son is merely growing up. However, she does not think even for a minute that he will not grow to conform to the family's traditions and practices.

Sushila Mishra
Navya's grandmother, she has gotten extremely hardcore and rooted moral values, which are backward. She highlights the distinction of a female from a male every chance she gets. She promotes early-marriage like commercials for toothpastes do. However, she is a soft-hearted and lovable mother and grandmother.
Harsh Mishra
He is Navya's younger brother. He's a teenager of quick parts and joyous elements. He takes pride in extracting advantage from his being the youngest creature in the house and is loved the most.
Ritika Joshi
She is one of Navya's two best friends; she is the same age but belongs from a different family in terms of morals. She has found love in one of her classmates, Ranbeer and given she has an open-minded atmosphere she hails from, she does not find anything unacceptable in it. She's a sweetheart, never too blond, never too intelligent ' she makes up perfectly for a regular college-going girl.
Appy
She is another dimension of a college-going girl, she is a loudmouth, and she's friendly and is amazingly sweet. She's Navya's second best friend and shares most of her ideals with Ritika, given she is also part of the league of the new-aged kids, unlike Navya in most aspects. She is in search of love everywhere she goes, and has got a flirtatious and cheesy edge to her character as well. She's daughter to a single mother.
Undoubtedly the award for the best cutest onscreen moment goes to -The moment where anant is serving navya .This moment I am sure is still fresh in our minds as it was the most loving, cute moment of them together till yet. Shy navya with naughty anant the perfect combo for this very scene where anant is calling navya an atithi(mehmaan) and ever so cutely saying her "tou kya mein sewa karun apnay mehmaan ki" and she shyly agrees with whatever he says. Then he serving her with his own hands, this scene surely takes all the lime light with every moment in it whether its naughty or cute. Wont you just feel the building chemistry between the pair, I can certainly see it for the upcoming scenes and sequences. The best cutest moment offscreen award goes to -The moment where Shaheer and Soumya are happily looking at the outcome of the picture taken by our talented shaheer and then walking off just like olds pals would do. Their building friendship can be clearly seen from this moment when their heads are slightly touching and both of them together are leaning in to get a view of the picture. Don't they just look cute together. The cherry on top is the smile on their faces after this particular moment which leaves everyone wondering whether they just met or have been friends since long. |
Bloopers bina serial kahaan!
Navya is a show and has completed one year. But what is common between Navya and the other soaps? Yeah wat is common??
Bloopers!! Yes. You heard it right. This show has got with itself a freshness compared to the daily soaps running on television these days but yet there are some minor things which were not taken care of during the show though it entertained us for a full whole year
So in this section i present to you the major bloopers of the show when its recently started
Blooper Number 1 - Aakash Vani
Remember the episode where Anant drops Navya in an auto and she forgets to give him the parcel? Then suddenly Anant remembers this and goes to get his parcel. Then Akash vani told him that "Beta, Navya lives in "x" floor, Door no "y". Go and get your parcel! And Anant followed the instructions, went to Navya's place and got his prize! Oops parcel!
Blooper Number 2 - Magic Magic!
It was in the same episode where Anant drops Navya in an auto. Navya is all happy and in a different world altogether that she didn't even notice that her hair which was wet till then magically got dried!
Blooper Number 3 - Sleeping beauty!
When Navya calls Anant to tell him about Sonia's parcel he nervously looks at his clock and it shows 17TH MARCH THRUS 9.45 PM. The very next morning when Navya calls him to enquire about Sonia's condition he wakes up and looks at his clock which shows 29TH MARCH 9.00 AM!! So our Anant was sleeping for a whole one week!

Blooper Number 4 - I know all
When Sonia did the nerve cutting act and Anant got her admitted in the hospital, Navya called and asked him about Sonia. Anant explained that he's in the hospital. Navya immediately asked her dad to drop her in the hospital. How come she knew which hospital? Umm.. She must be you-know-who i mean i-know-all..
Blooper Number 5 - Facebook ki jai ho!
When Anant wanted Navya to use the webcam for easy understanding of the project, all of us expected Skype. But no! It was Facebook! They had a video chat using the Facebook chat. I guess I need to update my browser as it doesn't support video chat in FB.
Blooper Number 6 - Raat gayi dress badal gayi..
After the night long video chat on FB, Navya tried to get some sleep but was disturbed with thoughts of Anant and covered herself including her face with a blanket. Lo and behold! Her dress changed when she got up from her few minutes' sleep. Is it Shring bhring sarvaling dress badaling?
