I totally agree with what happend yesterday. Barring Megha's dialogues about justifying her act in fron of Mohan.
Initially when the entire 'joking about emotions' thing played out I was so disappointed and that disappointment continued for 5 minutes. But when I thought about it later, it was probably the most apt thing Mohan could have done to salvage his friendship with Megha and also keeping the movement of storyline ahead. We for one would never have liked Mohan and Megha sharing awkward moments in the office or elsewhere moving ahead after the confession. It would have jeopardised their relationship which has just started. Megha still needs to know a lot about Mohan. She knows that he is a nice guy at heart. But there are a lot of things which she misreads about him. (Like this Rashmi one for instance). If ' I love you' was for real then she would have known that Mohan loves her and not Rashmi but that would have stopped her from knowing him more because of the situation she would be in.
What happend yesterday also justified Mohan's 'Megha ko khone ka darr' dialogue in the farmhouse confession. Megha wouls have eventually given in since thats what the storyline aims at but this confession would have made it difficult. It would have led to a lot of serious and melodramatic episodes. The tone of the serial which is light would have been lost then. There will be a lot of melodrama now but the episodes dedicated to it will be less. The story will move ahead towards proving Amar's innocence since that is one of the basic premise of the show. The promos showed the protagonists working towards Amar's case and hence falling in love during the course. Mohan is already in love but what needs to be seen is how Megha is made to fall in love with him.
Waise to koi bhi Mohan ke pyar mein padhega yaar . But yeh wali thodi different hai 😊 because of all the baggage she carries with her. As some have quoted in this forum, the reason for Megha crying on her way back home may be because she bought what Mohan told her about he not being the type of guy who will fall in love again.
1. It may be that in some corner of her heart she wanted him to love her.
2. It may be that she has fallen for him too but is unaware of it.
3. It may that be she knew that he was bluffing about the entire confession being a joke and that she felt bad for him that she would not be able to reciprocate the same feelings for him because of the circumstances.
4. And may be she feared the consequences of her act of Mrs. Bhatnagar back home.
The optimist in me would like to believe the first 3 to be true.
The entire dismissal of the confession as a joke by Mohan served 2 purposes.
1. He salvaged their friendship.
2. Storywise it gave us a glimpse of what a heart wrenching situation he is in. Poor guy ðŸ˜.
The way he looks on after she leaves with that one tear drop. Brilliant acting by K3. It really really really moved me. He is in a place where it is so difficult not to show how much you love that person and at the same time doing so can make you lose her.
I loved the way CVs handled this confession part. We were disappointed because the confession was hyped and shown everywhere. But TRP ke liye karna padha unko. Chalega isi bahane thoda TRP badha hoga (fingers crossed). This show is still much better than all the crap that goes in the name of a daily soap today. Even the most mundane episode of NBT is much better than other shows.
