"There are people.
There are stories.
The people think they shape the stories, but the reverse is often closer to the truth."
~Alan Moore
'The Tale of the Pathological Truth'
Absolutely lovely Crooner, sweetie...Concise is the right word! Loved your quote from An Affair to Remember, and Shy's pics!😊 I liked the epi today; a fine precursor to that which is to come. We finally got to the moment we have been waiting for...albeit, the longest wait in my tv watcher's life!😆 The second half, by far, highlighted the best moments of the epi, although there were a few golden moments in the first half as well. It belonged to both Sobti and Sanaya. They were able to do such justice to their characters, inspite of only having a few minutes together in the same frame!
The Long Goodbye: In continuing with the theme on Friday, all Khushi can think about is the quickest and most convenient way to do the deed. When the idea strikes, a quick goodbye to all...the longest one for him...yes, she tells him to take care of his sugar levels, to not be careless about his ailment, to curb his anger, and in the end, she thanks him for the words that c symbolize him: "What the..." She walks out leaving him completely in puzzlement. Not making much of anything, he delves into his work, only to find something missing. The urgency to find the stars does not miss its mark...His expressions go from confusion to fear in a matter of seconds. Her letter reminding him of what the stars mean...The words make their mark even without him realizing it...She is ready to be the brightest star, third in the constellation, and he knows exactly what that means...Yes, he may not acknowledge his own parents have become part of that celestial grouping, but he cannot allow his biggest fear to be realized! Sobti was brilliant in this scene, just like those stars, yaar! His expressions were absolutely priceless! How can a person emote so well without words?👏
No Regrets & No Expectations...But..: Even on the terrace, all she can think about are the children playing below...a stall tactic perhaps, but her heart tells her she has to do the needful for him! He finds her, a call to put an end to life itself...A confrontation like no other... Like a parent imploring a child, he tries to get her to come down...She starts reasoning with him..."Jaate jaate hume apse koi shiqwa toh nahi..." she says.."Aapne humse yeh baat kyun chupayi". Every moment a reflection of the turmoil in her heart. Yes, she wants to believe this is about Lavanya and him, yet she is not convinced. She has no problems accepting their relationship, yet she fears his silence "dekha...phir se chup, phir koi jawab nahi...aap unse pyaar karte hain...aur hum..." The moment of her truth finally out in the open. A fear that though she loves him, he does not reciprocate it...never has, and perhaps, never will..The TRUST missing completely!.A flashback to all those times that were critical in their life...all those moments where their love became theirs completely...After all they have been through, they are left with those memories...His eyes see exactly that which she is telling him...He believes, and somewhere, acknowledges...She prepares to end it all for herself and for him. Yet, just as with all the times he has been there for her in the past, in that final moment, it is he who brings her back to life!
The Protector and the Destroyer; the Paradox: His embrace protects and keeps her. There is no second guessing he came there with her stars, yet she is, indeed, his brightest star. He doesn't have to gaze upon her, she is always there with him, by his side. This will never change, come what may! She cannot fathom the sentiment. She immediately asks for answers...He owes her that much as she is his wife...Her actions have already spoken louder than words! Yet, he moves to tell her the bitter truth...the truth that he believes completely...The truth that has eaten away at his very core. The story which he has told himself over and over again, and with no recourse, no possibility of an alternate explanation. The truth that in his mind justifies every single deed and action on his part. While his heart knows better, doubt and suspicion cloud his mind! His words meet their desired mark: shell shocked; his shrapnel of words hit her soul...The darkness in her world starting to seep in...
Fantastic Moments:
~There were quite a few! Loved Buaji & the water requirements for boiling "pusshta"😆
~A good use for cell phones today! Wow, KKGSR actually remembered her cell phone on the way to giving up her life! That was one serendipitous call!
~Fine balance between the comedic bits from last week, and the dramatic moments!
~Yes, blue is Sanaya's color!
~Ah, in white & shaven!! Loved Sobti's look today!😍
~No Bubbly & co, though I am sure I won't be saying that later in the week!
Scratch My Head Moments:
~Poor editing and in some bits, directing as well...didn't care for the 1001 shots of Sanaya's BD's feet!🤢
~Interesting that no one in the neighborhood was bothered that someone was up on the very edge of the terrace, teetering and about to fall!
~Dare I say it, the intensity could have been better...if they were in the same frame more...But we now know schedules are maxed out! Perhaps, they've saved the best for tomorrow!
~Somewhere I wonder if the terrace scenes should have been shot at night! Dunno why but I feel they may have been more impactful!
I am watching without any expectations; as you know, I keep away from the spoilers...Chugalkor aunty does nothing for me!😆 The CVs know the audience is expecting something exceptional, and my gut says we won't be disappointed! I didn't have my tissue box ready today, and frankly, I did not need it...However, tomorrow will be a different story!😊
You COMPLETELY DESERVE the 230+ "LIKES" on your Friday Crooner!! It just goes to show how well you express yourself...and how much each of us appreciates the effort and thought behind what you post! We love you for this space each & every day, hun! THANK YOU!!!👏⭐️😃
