Haila, I can already see the Fabulous Foursome, Anu, Raaga and the rest of the Cuddly-Wuddly gang coming after me with angry icons, but I just had a thought and since, I made my kid bunk his school today (Its raining, my Car has gone off and I had no way to get to the School....Lolz...Excuses for me!) and had some time in hand, I thought why not put up a small defence in favour of Pia!đđ
Firstly, I still stand by what I wrote in my update yesteday, what Pia said to Jai, was to an extent perfectly correct! What did she say wrong? Jai did take out his frustrations of Pia running out on him through Bani, didn't he? What else was he doing all these months? Jai did not leave one opportunity to demean, debase and destroy Bani's self-respect, her spirit and her self-esteem, the only thing he left intact was her honor and that really redeemed Jai in our eyes! Jai did not take any unneccessary advantage of Bani and kept away from her, but he used every other tactic to emotionally batter Bani!
Secondly, Pia was correct when she tells Jai that when he knew that Bani was drugged, why didn't he stop her or better still stop himself! This is correct in one sense, Jai might have been drunk that night, but he was fully in his senses and knowing that Bani doesn't love him and that he also doesn't love her and that they were going to get divorced in a few days, how ethical was Jai in sleeping with his wife! See, this is a very controversial point and I know a lot of rebuttal will come for this, but when Jai told Pia yesterday, that he knew what happened was a mistake, then what made him do it in the first place! It was Lust all the way for Jai......the Love was only sub-conscious, Jai realized his love for Bani much later and he was surely not acting out of love when he slept with Bani! It was more of his repression and attraction for Bani which came to fore that night, it was only Bani, who acted on love!
Thirdly, we are all talking about what right Pia has to interfere in Bani's life! Well, the same right that Bani had in interfering in Pia and Rano's life all through! Bani was the one who persuaded Pia and Pushkar to get married, later she was the one who stood against Jai and Pia's marraige, then she was the one who warned Pia not to betray Jai. The most agonizing part, Bani took Pia's place in the marriage with Jai, why did she do that? Because she knew that if she does not become the shield for Pia, then Jai will destroy Pia and Pushkar's life! Same goes with Rano, why did Bani keep quiet about Saahil and Rano's love and supported Saahil and Raashi's marriage instead of her own sister!
If Bani had a right to not only interfere but make important decisions for both her sisters, then I think Pia has atleast the right to speak on behalf of her sister! Just because Bani is elder to Pia doesn't mean that Pia being the younger one can't defend her sister!
Pia has no idea of what is happening in her sister's life, except that the relationship between Jai and Bani has bettered than before, all she knows is that Jai is still going to divorce her.....and that is what Jai has been telling Bani and the whole world! Hence, it was obvious that as a concerned and loving sister, Pia was shocked and disgusted to know that the man who was going to leave her young and helpless sister in a few days had got her pregnant! The first thought that must have struck Pia was how grossly unfair life has been to Bani.......As she said yesterday, we have all destroyed Bani one by one, But you have been the last nail on the Coffin......
In saying that Pia will not let the child come into this World, she is only acting her own childish, immature self.....but she is thinking about her sister's life....A sister who is still so young, so vulnerable and completely alone in the World.....Pia is obviously getting insecure and protective about Bani and is giving the most rationale and logical argument.....that if the Father of the Child doesn't love Bani, then what is the point in having his Child and bringing him into the World? Pia might have been stupid and immature in making this statement, but she is also being protective and concerned for her sister!
If Pia was the reason that Bani got into a torturous marriage, then Jai is equally responsible for making a living hell out of Bani's life! If Pia broke Bani's trust, Jai has broken Bani completely.......
The final word is that my sympathies are with Jai, but this time Pia is not wrong in what she told Jai and he deserved every bit of the blasting off he got (Mind you, he defended himself pretty well!) and basically, Bani has become the scrap goat of everyone else's mistakes!đ
